Scholarships are most vital for those students who are not financially able to pay the fees of the colleges or universities. Several government schemes are also available now for the inclusion of the students from the poor section of the society.

Types of Scholarships

Central Government Schemes

These are the scholarships which are provided by the Indian Central Government at the university or college level as well as the School level. The procedure to apply for these schemes will be as per regulations defined by the authorized bodies. The schemes are offered every year as well as with the gap of two to three years.

State Government Schemes

 These are granted by the State Governments and are exclusively for the students of State Universities and State Government schools. The State Government provides exclusive funding for the scholarships and releases the notification on the officially managed State Scholarship portals.

AICTE Schemes

All India Council for Technical Education is an advisory body which provides various forms of Scholarships namely National e Scholarship, Vidya Lakshmi Scholarship, Pragati and Saksham and other forms of Scholarship to the candidates in need.

UGC Schemes

University Grants Commission (UGC) entails scholarships for the University going candidates from the weak financial background. It is important to have a good academic record in order to apply for the scholarships offered by UGC.

Private Universities Schemes

 Many of the Private Universities also provide the benefit of the Scholarships in India to the candidates applying for the various Degree and the Research courses. Aspirants will have to keep checking the administration section for the released Scholarship schemes.

Trust Fund Scholarship Schemes

 The Scholarship under these schemes are usually sponsored by the established Trust funds and the candidates have to apply through a separate procedure. These Scholarships are usually provided to sponsor School education.

Private Coaching Institutes Scholarship

Many of the Private Coaching Institutes also provide the benefit of Scholarships to the candidates enrolling themselves in the coaching Institutes. The private institutes usually conduct the examinations to select the candidates in order to grant the scholarship.
