Sitaram Jindal Scholarship 2019-20: The Sitaram Jindal Foundation (SJF) encourage the meritorious students of India to pursue higher education by helping them financially. The Sitaram Jindal Foundation (SJF), formerly known as S J Jindal Trust, established in 1969 is a charitable organization and one of the most sought-after international NGOs in Bangalore with the humanitarian objective of financially weak students in various fields. True to the inspiring ideas and values of its Chief Architect & Founder, Dr Sitaram Jindal, the Foundation has been promoting and providing basic needs of the people across various sections of the society in different fields including education, healthcare and rural development without discrimination of caste and creed and religion.

Jindal Scholarship 2019 Category Level

Jindal Scholarship level is divided into category. Go through the table given below to know the category and its corresponding scholarship level.

Sitaram Jindal Scholarship 2019-20 Eligibility Criteria

Sitaram Jindal Scholarship 2019-20 Eligibility Criteria is different for different categories. To get the scholarship amount, the applicant’s need to meet the required eligibility criteria mentioned below. Check the Jindal scholarship category, level and its corresponding eligibility criteria below carefully.

Category A
Scholarship provided to The Class 11th and Class 12th students studying in the government or government-aided colleges/institutions are eligible for this category of the scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria The applicant should have a minimum aggregate of –

Boys – 65% || Girls – 60%

The applicant belonging to the Karnataka and West Bengal should have a minimum aggregate of –

Boys – 75% || Girls – 70%

Category B
Scholarship provided to This category of the scholarship is intended for the ITI students who are studying in the government colleges/institutions or government-aided colleges/ institutions. Those students who are studying in the private ITI colleges/ institutions are also eligible for the scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria For the private ITI colleges/institutions –

Boys – They should have a minimum score of 50% marks to become eligible for this scholarship.

Girls – They should have a minimum score of 40% marks to become eligible for this scholarship.

For the government or the government aided ITI colleges/institutions – The applicant should have secured the pass marks.

Category C
Scholarship provided to This category of the scholarship is meant for the students pursuing Bachelors in the following streams –

Popular Bachelor courses like B. Com, BBA, BBM, BFA, B. Sc in Agriculture, Bachelor in Finance/ Economics.

If the student is enrolled in the integrated programmes, then the scholarship can be availed by the student for the first 3 years of the course under this category of the scholarship.

Hospitality related courses like Hotel management

Forensic Science

Microbiology

Social Work

Environment-related courses like Environment Scientist, Environment Journalist, and Environment Engineer.

Eligibility Criteria Students belonging to the following categories are eligible for this scholarship –

General Category – Boys and girls.

Physically disabled students

Widows and wards (unmarried) of the Ex-servicemen

Minimum Qualifying Marks

The male applicants should have a minimum aggregate score of 65% marks.

The female applicants should have a minimum aggregate score of 60% marks.

For applicants from Karnataka and West Bengal –

The male applicants should have a minimum aggregate score of 70% marks.

The female applicants should have a minimum aggregate score of 65% marks.

Category D
Scholarship provided to This category of the scholarship is meant for students pursuing Diploma in the following fields of Engineering, Environment, and the Medical Science –

Popular courses of Diploma Engineering like Computer Science Engineering, Chemical, Civil engineering, Metallurgy engineering, Automobile engineering, Electricals & Mechanical engineering Machine Tool engineering, and Electronic engineering.

Popular courses of Diploma in Environment like Environment Engineering, Environment Scientist, and Environment Journalist.

Professional courses of Diploma in Medicine like Pharmacy, Nursing and Physiotherapy.

Eligibility Criteria The male applicants should have a minimum aggregate score of 60% marks.

The female applicants should have a minimum aggregate score of 55% marks.

Category E
Scholarship provided to This category of the scholarship is meant for students pursuing Bachelors and Post Graduation in any field of Engineering and Medical Science.

Engineering field includes B. Architecture course, and the Medical field includes Ayurveda, Homeopathy, and Naturopathy besides M.B.B.S or BDS.

However, MDS is not included under this category of the scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria The male applicants should have a minimum aggregate score of 70% marks to avail the benefits of the scholarship either on the Bachelor or the Post graduation level.

The female applicants should have a minimum aggregate score of 65% marks to avail the benefits of the scholarship either on the Bachelor or the Post graduation level.

For the Karnataka and West Bengal students –

The male applicants should have a minimum aggregate score of 75% marks to avail the benefits of the scholarship either on the Bachelor or the Post graduation level.

The female applicants should have a minimum aggregate score of 70% marks to avail the benefits of the scholarship either on the Bachelor or the Post graduation level.

Ph. D Courses
Scholarship provided to This category of the scholarship is meant for the students pursuing Post graduation in the following streams –

Popular Post-graduation courses like M. Com, MBA, MBM, MFA, M. Sc in Agriculture, Masters in Finance/ Economics.

If the student is enrolled in the integrated programmes, then the scholarship can be availed by the student for the 2 years of the course under this category of the scholarship.

Hospitality related courses like Hotel management

Forensic Science

Microbiology

Social Work

Environment-related courses like Environment Scientist, Environment Journalist, and Environment Engineer.

Eligibility Criteria Students belonging to the following categories are eligible for this scholarship –

Sitaram Jindal Scholarship Amount 2019-20

Under the Jindal Scholarship Scheme, Scholar’s will be awarded scholarship amount based on their category and eligibility.

1. A Those applicants who are selected for this scholarship get ₹500 on a monthly basis.
2. B For the private ITI colleges/institutions –

Those applicants who are selected for this scholarship get ₹ 700 on a monthly basis.

For the government or the government aided ITI colleges/institutions.

Those applicants who are selected for this scholarship get ₹ 500 on a monthly basis.

3. C General Category –

Boys – The general category boys get ₹600 on a monthly basis.

Girls – The general category girls get ₹800 on a monthly basis.

Physically handicapped students – Those students who are physically disabled get ₹ 800 on a monthly basis.

Widows and wards (unmarried) of the Ex-servicemen – The widows and unmarried wards of the Ex-servicemen get ₹1,000 on a monthly basis

4. D The male applicants get ₹800 on a monthly basis.

The female applicants get ₹600 on a monthly basis.

5. E On the Bachelor level –

The male applicants get ₹1300 on a monthly basis.

The female applicants get ₹1500 on a monthly basis.

On the Post graduation level –

The male applicants get ₹1800 on a monthly basis.

The female applicants get ₹2000 on a monthly basis.

6. Ph.D  Courses For the General Category applicants –

The male applicants get ₹800 on a monthly basis.

The female applicants get ₹1000 on a monthly basis.

For the PwD Category of applicants –

Both male and female applicants get ₹1000 on a monthly basis.

For the Widows and Wards (Unmarried) of the Ex-servicemen –

Both male and female applicants get ₹1200 on a monthly basis.

Those students who are staying in the hostel to complete their studies receive an additional amount of –

  • For students pursuing ITI/ General Bachelor’s or PG courses – ₹500 on the monthly basis.
  • For students pursuing technical/ professional courses like Engineering and Medical – ₹ 1000 on the monthly basis.

How to apply for Sitaram Jindal Scholarship 2019-20

Interested and eligible students can apply for this Jindal scholarship during any time of the year. There is no fixed date to apply for the Jindal scholarship. The procedure for applying for this scholarship is the offline mode. Eligible student’s need to download the application form and take the printout of it. Enter all the details by the blue/black ballpoint pen. Make sure all the details entered are correct. Along with the filled up application form, Enclose all the photocopy of necessary documents.

Based on the eligibility and scrutinizing all the submitted documents, the concerned authority grant scholarship to the deserving applicant’s.
