NEET 2019 Merit List: NEET Merit List Result 2019 is available here. National Testing Agency(NTA) is responsible to conduct NEET from the session 2019. NEET 2019 was conducted in one session. The Exam took place offline on 5th May 2019. However, due to the Cyclone Fani, the NEET Exam was conducted on 20th May 2019 as well in Odisha, Karnataka, and Siliguri State. The NEET Result has also been released on 5th June 2019. This year, NTA took the responsibility of conducting the exam. However, this year we are expecting that the NTA NEET 2019 merit list will not be prepared on the basis of the marks because the exam was conducted in two sessions.

Based on the marks (Normalization) obtained in the exam, the merit list for All India Quota (AIQ) will be prepared and published by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). NTA and MCC will jointly provide the merit list to all the states separately to conduct counseling procedure. Each participating states will publish their own merit list for different dates for admission into MBBS program.

NEET MBBS Merit List 2019
The NEET Result 2019 is declared now. The NTA Department will soon release the merit list. However, we are expecting that the merit list will be released within two to three weeks. This year, the merit list will not be released on the basis of the marks as the exam was conducted in two schedules- 5th May 2019 and 20th May 2019. The NEET Final Merit List will be available online.
Basically, the NEET 2019 Merit List PDF will contain the name of the candidates who have qualified the NEET 2019 Exam. Candidates who made their name on the merit list will be eligible for the counselling process. Qualified candidates get admission in their respective state colleges based on rank and marks obtained in NEET exam. The merit list will be published in online mode and PDF format. It contains important details like rank, roll number of NEET, category, percentile, cut-off & name, etc.
Types of NEET 2019 MBBS Merit List
The NEET MBBS/BDS Merit List will carry the names of all the candidates who have qualified the exam with qualifying marks. The names of the candidates will be available based on their ranks. The All India NEET Merit List will be prepared by arranging candidates (All India Rank) and the AIQ Merit List will be prepared after collecting AIQ Ranks of the candidates. Hence, the NTA will release three types of Merit List and they are-
- All India NEET MBBS Merit List provides the All India Rank to the candidates
- AIQ Merit List provides All India Quota Rank
- State Merit List provides State Rank of the Qualified Candidates.
Tie Breaking Criteria of the Merit List
If in case, two or number of candidates score the same number of marks in the exam, then a tie-breaking method is used. The Tie-Breaking Criteria is used to do the selection of the candidates in a fair manner. Hence, the tie-breaking method follows the following conditions that are mentioned below-
- Candidates obtaining higher marks in Biology subject in NEET 2019 exam.
- If the tie still persists, then Candidates securing higher marks in Chemistry subject in NEET 2019 exam are taken into consideration to break the tie.
- After that, if the tie still is there, Candidates with less number of wrong question attempts in all subjects of NEET exam.
- If the tie still remains, then students older in age will be considered for breaking tie.

- The list containing the name of the applicants along with other important details will be displayed on the screen.

Highlights of NTA NEET 2019 Rank List
- Counselling and seat allotment procedure take place based on the position obtained in the merit list. MCC publishes merit list for All India Quota (15%) and rests 85% seats are reserved for state quota. Participating states publish merit list on their official website separately on different dates.
- At first, the Provisional merit list is published by each state. It contains the name of candidates domiciled and appeared from that particular state. If the name appears, candidates need to register to participate in the state counselling.
- Based on various factors such as marks obtained in the NEET Exam, the number of seat availability and the number of applicants & category, the MCC prepares and conducts admission procedure for 15% All India Quota seats. MCC provides merit list to each state separately for admission to MBBS program.

NEET Cutoff 2019 Percentile
To have your names on the merit list, candidates have to score equal or more than equal than the minimum qualifying marks. Thus, candidates who make it to the merit list will be eligible for the counseling round. The cutoff marks of NEET 2019 has been released along with the result. NEET 2019 Merit List for 15% All India Quota Seats
The National Testing Agency will release the merit list for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) Admissions. Therefore, candidates who score equal or more than the NEET 2019 Cutoff Result Marks will be eligible for All India Quota Admissions.
- Thus, the merit list will contain the names of the candidates according to the number of seats available under AIQ Quota.
- Hence, the counselling will be done on the basis of AIQ Quota.
- A waiting list equal to 4 times of the Merit List will be released (if required).
- Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will now participate in 15% All India Quota Counselling and do not need to submit a self-declaration form anymore.
- Candidates of Jammu and Kashmir has to produce a self-declaration form for participating in All India Quota Counselling.
NTA NEET AIR Merit List 2019
NEET 2019 AIR Merit List stands for All India Rank Merit List. This criterion has a reservation of 85% of seats. The National Testing Agency will hand over this list to the Director General of Health Services and it will be further handed to other admitting authorities.
- The Admitting Authorities will invite the candidates for the counselling and a separate merit list will be available on the basis of the All India Rank.
- NEET State Counselling will be conducted by separate State Counselling Authorities.
- The Deemed Universities will conduct their own counselling rounds.

NEET Counselling 2019
After the declaration of NEET Result 2019, the counselling procedure will start in each and every college (Universities and State-Wise). The Counselling Proces will start from the third week of June 2019. Selected Candidate will receive a letter regarding the allotment and counselling.
