Latest Update by NTA for NEET 2020

  • From 2019, the National Testing Agency is the main conducting body for the NEET 2020.
  • The Entrance Exams for AIIMS and JIPMER have been scrapped. Hence, the admission will be on the basis of the NEET 2020 Scores.
  • The Prospectus of NEET 2020 is available in 11 different languages which include Assamese, English, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Urdu, Gujarati, Hindi, Bengali, and Telugu.
  • All the candidates are eligible for the State Quota. Therefore, candidates can fill any State/UT against the choice.
  • The Jammu and Kashmir students are not eligible for the 15% State Quota Seats. However, if you want to claim eligibility, then you will have to submit a Self-Declaration along with a confirmation page. This has to be shown at the time of Admission/Counselling.
  • An approx of 15, 93,452 candidates have registered for the NEET 2020 Exam.

NEET Exam Day Guidelines 2020

The National Testing Agency will publish a notification just before the day of the Exam. The Notice will include the following instructions –

  • Any Unfair Means performed by the applicant can cause rejection of the candidature.
  • Report the Examination an hour before the reporting time. Candidates wearing custom clothing in NEET Dress Code will have to report earlier to complete the facilities.
  • You need to show your hall ticket at the examination to get an entry. The NEET Admit Card will be checked by the Invigilator to confirm the identity of the candidate
  • Candidates must bring the required documents to the exam hall. Each desk will comprise of a Roll Number of Candidate. Therefore, the candidates must check their seats carefully.
  • Before you start to attempt the questions, please go through the instructions carefully and fill in the details in the OMR Sheet.
  • Please check the number of pages of the test booklet. The Test booklet must contain the same number of pages as mentioned on the cover of the test booklet.
  • You will be provided only one NTA NEET OMR Sheet to attempt. Therefore, mark the answers carefully.

NEET Student’s Reaction (Previous Year)

Last year, the NEET 2019 Exam was conducted on 5th May 2019. However, due to the effect of the Cyclone Fani, the Exam for a few states was postponed to 20th May 2019. So, here you can check the NEET Student’s Reaction for both the schedule.

NEET Student’s Reaction 2019 – (20th May 2019)

  • On 20th May 2019, the National Testing Agency conducted the NEET Entrance Exam for Odisha, Karnataka, and Siliguri State.
  • Around 42, 000 candidates had appeared the exam in Odisha and 450 from Karnataka.
  • The Exam Timings were different. It was conducted from 10 am to 1:00 pm.
  • In Odisha, the Entrance Exam was conducted in 8 districts.
  • Candidates who appeared the Exam in Bhubaneswar Region said that the exam was moderate.
  • Questions were NCERT based and they found Physics and Chemistry to be quite tough.
  • The checking panel was strict. The expected cutoff for Odisha Government College is around 543 to 645 as per the experts.

NEET Student Reaction 2019 – Post Exam (5th May 2019)

The paper was not that much difficult. Physics was theoretical. Most of the questions were from NCERT. Physics had many questions from Modern Physics section. According to the candidates, questions in the examination conducted by NTA was easier than examination conducted by CBSE.

  • Shubhangi: Biology was easiest and Chemistry was difficult.
  • Honey: Overall the exam was good. Biology was the easiest whereas Physics was tough.
  • Varsha: Paper was very easy. Chemistry & biology was easy. Physics was the toughest.
  • Ashif: Physics was toughest, Chemistry was easy.
  • Omkar: Physics was moderate. Chemistry & Biology was easy.

Update:

  • 1:30 PM – Gates has been closed and the exam timing is 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
  • 1:15 PM – Guards are making the final call to the candidates for the entry.
  • 1:00 PM – Gate will be closed on 1:30 PM after which no candidate will get permission to enter inside the exam hall.
  • 12:20 PM – Guards are checking the required documents and then allowing the candidates to enter inside the gate.
  • 12:00 PM – Gate has been opened for the entry of the candidates. Guards are giving instructions to make a queue.
  • 11:45 AM – More and more candidates are reaching at the exam centre. Some of them are with their parents.
  • 11:18 AM – The temperature is raising here, it is quite difficult to wait outside the exam centre.
  • 11:00 AM – Candidates are reaching at the examination centre for appearing in the examination.

NEET 2019 Students Reaction- Pre Exam

  • Nearly, 13 Lakh Candidates are appearing the exam this year. The exam timings are from 2 to 5 pm.
  • More than 200 NEET aspiring candidates fail to reach the examination center due to delay in the arrival of Hampi Express.
  • In Bengaluru, Exam Center, candidates who had brought only one picture along with them, were rushing to get their photo clicked.
  • The Exam Centers had arranged a photographer to click an instant photo and allow the students to complete other formalities.

Latest Update by NTA Before the Exam

On 3rd May 2019, the NTA has released an Advisory Notice for the candidates who are appearing for the exam. Recently, the NTA has also changed the examination center of a few states due to General Lok Sabha Elections and other unavoidable causes. The Notice includes the following information –

  • Any Unfair Means performed by the applicant can cause rejection of the candidature.
  • The Reporting Time to the Center is 12:00 Noon and the Gate Closing Time is 1:30 pm.
  • To check all the details available on the Hall Ticket.
  • The Exam will take place from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
  • Carry your Admit card with photo affixed on it, Passport Photo to be pasted on the Attendance, Valid ID Proof, and PWD Certificate (if applicable).
  • No Items such as Stationery, Electronic Gadgets, and Food Items are allowed to the Exam Hall.
  • Candidates have to follow the Dress Code for the Exam. Candidates with customary dresses have to reach the Exam Hall an hour before the reporting time.
  • Diabetic Students can carry eatables and medicine such as Sugar Tablets, Fruits, etc.
  • Black Ball Point Pen will be provided at the center.
  • Candidates must check the Test Booklet properly. Fill in the details carefully before attempting questions.
  • You cannot leave the examination hall until the exam is over.

NEET Exam Postpone Chances Due to Cyclone Fani

Due to the Cyclone Fani Affected in many regions, the NSUI has requested to reschedule the exam for the student from these affected regions. NEET 2018 Entrance Examination Statistics

Last Year, around 13.6 Lakh Candidates had registered for the exam, out of which around 11 Lakh Candidates have appeared the exam. Around 530 candidates were Overseas Citizens of India, 1842 were Non-Resident Indian, and 621 were Foreigners. Transgenders had also appeared the exam. CBSE NEET 2018 Exam took place in over 136 cities in 225 Exam Centers in India.

NEET 2019 Students Reaction – Exam Day Guidelines

  • The NEET Examination Centre will be opened 2 Hours before the commencement of the exam. The details of the exam timings will be mentioned on the NEET 2019 Admit Card. Therefore, go through the Admit Card details carefully.
  • Candidates must follow the NEET 2019 Dress Code in order to appear the exam.
  • No Entry is allowed after 1:30 pm. Therefore, we advise you to reach the center an hour before the gate closing.
  • You need to show your hall ticket at the examination to get an entry. The Admit Card will be checked by the Invigilator to confirm the identity of the candidate
