Himachal Pradesh MBBS Admission 2021

The HPU (Himachal Pradesh University) officials prepare a rank list for shortlisting students as per their NEET Scores. Moreover, the aspirants get admission to either seat reserved under 85% state quota or 15% All India Quota (AIQ). However, it is important to know the eligibility criteria for admission to these seats. HP NEET MBBS Admission Eligibility Criteria 2021

The Eligibility Criteria is the most important factor for any admission process. Hence, the University of Himachal Pradesh has set some rules and conditions for the eligibility criteria. The conditions include your age factor, educational qualifications, and other details. So, if you satisfy the eligibility criteria of HPU MBBS/ BDS Admission, then you are eligible for the further process.

  • The Nationality of the Candidate must be Indian.
  • The minimum and maximum age of the candidate must be Indian as of 31st December of the admission year.
  • Candidates should have born on or after 7th May 1993.
  • Bonafide candidates of Himachal Pradesh whose parents have been posted outside under All India Services are also eligible to apply.
  • Candidates must be a domicile of Himachal Pradesh, but in the case of Management Quota Admission, candidates outside Himachal Pradesh are also eligible to apply.
  • The Applicants must have passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology, and English as subjects from a recognized Board.
  • Students from NIOS/ Open Board are also eligible to apply for Himachal Pradesh MBBS 2021 Admission.
  • Candidates must have passed all the individual subjects with a minimum percentage of 50% for General Category, 45% for Physical Handicapped (unreserved), and 40% for Reserved Category.
  • The Candidates must have secured a minimum percentile in the NEET MBBS Exam 2021.

HP MBBS/ BDS Application Form 2021

The HP MBBS Application Form is released in online mode and thus candidates have to visit the HP Medical Council website to apply. Only the students who submit the form on time are considered for the merit list. In addition, the application process comprises certain stages. Thus, the students need to go through the below-mentioned steps to successfully submit the form.

Registration Process

  • This is the first stage of filling the application form.
  • Candidates have to register themselves by submitting their basic details- Name of the candidate, Date of Birth, Father’s Name, Mobile Number, and E-mail ID.
  • A Registration Number and Password is generated and is then sent to the registered mobile number and e-mail id.

Fill in Academic Details

Using the Login Credentials, login, and fill in all the academic and education qualification details. Enter all the details carefully.

Upload Photograph and Signature

After entering the required details, upload your photograph and signature as per the prescribed specifications.

Payment of the Application Fees

  • In the next step, the payment portal appears on the screen.
  • Application Fees can be paid both online/ offline. Online Mode includes- Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Internet Banking. Candidates wanting to pay the fees through offline mode can do it through a Challan.

Himachal Pradesh MBBS Merit List 2021

The rank list is prepared as per the NEET Scores of the applicants. However, only the students who submit the form successfully are considered for the merit list. The HP NEET 2021 Merit List contains the names of those candidates who have qualified NEET along with the HP MBBS Cutoff Marks. Candidates are ranked in the merit list in descending order, hence the applicant with the highest NEET Score is placed first. The HP MBBS/ BDS Merit List is published on the HPU Shimla official website – www.hpushimla.in.

Himachal Pradesh MBBS Counselling 2021

Himachal Pradesh MBBS and BDS Counselling take place soon after the release of the Merit List. The Mode of the Counselling is online. Candidates whose name is on the Merit List are eligible for the counselling. However, the HP NEET MBBS Counselling, candidates have to register themselves and provide details about the colleges, courses, marks, etc. There are two rounds of counselling, followed by a Mop-Up Round Counselling. The rounds of counselling are further conducted in online mode. Hence, candidates can lock their choices of preferred institutes on the university website. The seat allotment list is published after the conclusion of counselling registration.

HP NEET Document Verification 2021

Candidates who are shortlisted in the counseling round are called for a Document Verification Process. The Verification process is completely held offline. In the Document Verification Process, candidates have to produce their Identification Documents and Educational Qualification Certificates. Candidates who failed to produce any of the following listed documents are disqualified from Himachal Pradesh MBBS/ BDS Admission.

Himachal Pradesh MBBS BDS Seat Reservation 2021

The Seat Procedure System of HP MBBS BDS is different than other Government/ Private Dental and Medical Institutions. The Government and Medical Colleges have 85% Seats Reserved under State Quota and the Private Medical/ Dental Colleges are equally divided among the State and Management Quota (50% each).
