NEET Merit List 2020: The National Board of Examinations will release the NEET Merit List 2020 in the month of June 2020. The Merit List will be available online. It includes the names of those candidates who have appeared the exam and have qualified with the minimum qualifying marks. NEET Cut-Off 2020
The Cut-Off Marks is the minimum set of marks that are set by the Exam Conducting Authority to shortlist deserving candidates. Based on the Minimum Qualifying Marks, the NEET Merit List will be prepared.

The Minimum Qualifying Cut-Off Marks varies from category to category. The Ranks of the candidates are on the basis of the cut-off marks.
What are the Types of NEET UG Merit List 2020?
There will be a total of three types of Merit List available to the candidates. All the Merit Lists will be published online on the website only. The Ranks of the candidates will be in descending order. That means the candidate with the highest rank will be at the top followed by the other ranks. The Ranks of the candidates will be on the basis of the All India Ranks as released on NEET 2020 Rank Letter.
All India Merit List
This is the overall rank merit list which means that candidates across the country will be eligible to get included in this merit list. The Rank that will be provided to the candidate will be on the basis of All India. The Performance of the candidates will be rated as the overall position who have appeared for the medical eligibility cum entrance examination irrespective of their state and their qualifying state.
15% AIQ Merit List
This Merit List is for the All India Quota Seats for which all the candidates are eligible except for the Jammu and Kashmir candidates. The applicants belonging to the Jammu and Kashmir State will be included on this merit list only if they have signed the declaration form while filling the NEET Application Form 2020. The Medical Counselling Committee is responsible for conducting the NEET 2020 UG Counselling.
State-Wise NEET Merit List 2020
This is the State-Wise Merit List Rank of the Candidates. The DGHS will hand over the list of the candidates to the respective State and Union Territory Counselling Committee. These Counselling Committees will prepare their own separate merit list on the basis of the All India Ranks of the candidates.
The Inclusion of the State Merit List will depend on many factors such as –
- The number of candidates appeared the exam from that particular state or Union territory.
- Details Presented by the candidate at the time of filling the application form.
The Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria will be eligible to fill in the application form released by the State and Union Territories Counselling Bodies. After the filling of the application, a list of the eligible candidates will be released based on the counselling process takes place. The State Merit List will list out the rank of the candidates of that particular state or Union Territory.
Tie-Breaking Criteria of NEET Merit List 2020
If more than one candidates score the same number of marks, then the tie-breaking method implies. The factors that are responsible for the Tie-Breaking Criteria is as follows-
NEET Biology (Botany+Zoology) Section
Firstly, the Biology Section is given the preference. Candidates with more marks in Biology will be ranked higher.
NEET Chemistry Section
If the tie still exists, then the Chemistry Section Marks is taken. Candidates with higher marks in Chemistry will be given more priority than the other applicant.
Less Number of Wong Answers
If still, the tie exists, then the candidate with less number of wrong answers will be given a higher rank.
Age is given the Priority
If all the Tie-Breaking Criteria fails then the candidate who is older in age will be given a higher rank.
