West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam Board (WBJEEB) is the conducting body which carries the whole Counselling process of WBJEE. The WBJEE Counselling 2020 will begin after the declaration of the WBJEE Result 2020. Tentatively it will take place in the 1st week of May 2020. Candidates, who qualify in the WBJEE Exam, will be included in the General Merit List (GMR) which then be used by the authorities to allot seats through the WBJEE 2020 Counselling. In order to participate in the WBJEE Counselling, candidates have to register themselves online, fill out choice preferences of college and course and participate in the document verification rounds.

WBJEE Counselling 2020
- West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam Board (WBJEEB) will conduct the WBJEE 2020 Counselling
- Candidates will have to register for participation.
- Post Registration, candidates have to fill out choice preferences of college/ institutions/ universities.
- Seats will be allotted to candidates on the basis of WBJEE General Merit List and candidate preferences.

WBJEE Counselling 2020 – Complete Procedure
Candidates, in order to participate in the WBJEE Counselling 2020, have to follow a set of norms and rules. These norms are structured in a series of events that candidates must follow through. The board will prepare the WBJEE Merit List/ Rank List on the basis of WBJEE Cutoff 2020. However, it is not certain that the candidate will get seats that he/ she wishes. The whole WBJEE Counselling will include Registration, Choice filling and locking, fee payment, allotment of seats, document verification, and reporting to the allotted college.
Step 1 – Registration
- Go to the official website of WBJEEB, (A direct link will be updated here as well)
- Candidates will have to locate the “New Registration” option
- There will be an option of registering through JEE Main 2020 as well.
- There is another option for registration i.e Both (WBJEE and JEE (Main) Seats)
- Enter WBJEE Roll No., Application Number, Name of the candidate, D.O.B, and security pin for WBJEE Seats Only.
- For candidates, logging in with the JEE Main 2020, he/ she will have to enter in JEE Main Application Form Number/ Roll Number and Date of Birth, etc.
- Enter by clicking on submit button.
Step 2 – Registration Fee Payment
After doing registration, candidates have to pay the registration fee through the payment gateways. Candidates can pay the fee online via Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking. There is the provision of making the application fee payment through e-challan also, which is payable at Allahabad Bank. WBJEE Counselling registration fee amount is Rs 500. After making the payment, candidates need to note down the identification number and password.
Step 3 – Choice Of Filling and Locking
Candidates have to choose their preferred choice of institution or college or university and course. There is no limit on the choice of preference. However, the candidate will have to keep them in the order of choice, i.e. top preference first and so on. Also, this provision is available once and hence cannot be changed afterward. Candidates, thus, ensure that they are filling the correct information/Preference.
Step 4: Seat allotment
The authorities, i.e. West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam Board (WBJEEB) will analyze the choice preference entered by the candidates, and on the basis of the WBJEE Cut off 2020, will make seat allotments to the candidates. The Merit List for seat allotment will reflect the candidates who have the highest rank as he/ she will have the provision of getting into the college/ Institution/ University of choice. Candidates can, however, choose to stay with the allotted college or move on to the next round hoping to get a better deal.
Step 5: Document Verification
Candidates who are satisfied with their choices have to report to the allotted college physically along with a set of documents that he/ she will have to get verified. The authorities will inspect the documents and only after a thorough inspection, will they let the candidate continue with the admission proceeding. Candidates, who fail to report to the allotted college or fail to submit valid document, will be liable for rejection.

Step 6: Reporting at the Allotted Institute
After the WBJEE e-counselling has been conducted, candidates need to report to the allotted institute with the necessary documents. If the candidates are satisfied with the seats allotted, they must confirm their admission by carrying a set of both original as well as a copy of documents and report to the institute.
