Gujarat MBBS Admission 2020

  • Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC) is responsible for the admission in various Medical and Government Institutions of Gujarat.
  • Programs offered under NEET include Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS).
  • Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC) will be taking care of 85% of the total candidate list; the remaining 15% will be controlled by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
  • Around 36 governmental and privatized college/institute/universities will be inviting students for admissions into MBBS and BDS programs.
  • There will be an estimated 4600 seats available for both MBBS and BDS UG programmes in Gujarat medical and Dental colleges/Institutes/Universities.

Gujarat NEET Admission 2020 – Dates

Candidates, who are interested in pursuing medical/dental under graduation under the state quota of Gujarat, can start applying, tentatively, from October 2020. Eligibility Criteria for Gujarat MBBS and BDS Admission

The Eligibility Criteria is an important factor in the ACPUGMEC MBBS and BDS Admission. It is important for each candidate to satisfy the eligibility conditions. If any of the students do not satisfy eligibility conditions, then their application will get rejected. Therefore, do check the eligibility criteria carefully. Further, the Gujarat MBBS Eligibility Criteria includes – Nationality, Domicile Factor, Age Factor, Qualifying Examination, Qualifying Marks, Subject, etc.

  • Candidates must be a citizen of India.
  • Other than that, a candidate who holds an Overseas Citizen of India Card can also apply.
2Domicile Factor
  • The Applicants seeking admissions for the medical programmes must satisfy the domicile criteria of Gujarat.
  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 from the state board of Gujarat.
  • Candidates who cleared their 12th Boards from JNVs located outside Gujarat are eligible. If they have studied in any JNVs located in Gujarat till 8th standard are also eligible.
  • OCI, PIO, NRI candidates are required to get a permit from ACPUGMEC.
3Age Factor
  • The Minimum age of the candidate must be 17 years and the maximum age of the candidate must be 25 years as on 31st December 2020.
  • Age Relaxation will be applicable to the SC/ST Categories.
4Qualifying Examination
  • Candidates must have a qualified NEET 2020 Exam.
  • Other than that, they also must have passed
5Qualifying Subjects
  • Candidates who have studied 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology are eligible for seeking admission.
  • Other than that, proficiency in English will be considered desirable.
6Qualifying Marks/Percentage
  • Candidates must have cleared 10+2 examination with a combined aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
  • A relaxation of 5% is applicable for the Physically Handicapped Candidates.
  • A relaxation of 10 percent will be given to candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ST categories

Gujarat MBBS/BDS Registration 2020

Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria must complete the registration process. Registration will mainly include Purchasing a PIN from a designated Bank, creating a user ID, filling up of application form, uploading relevant documents, and application fee payment. The Gujarat MBBS Online Registration Window will be open for only a few days; thus, candidates are advised to get registered as soon as possible. To successfully get registered, candidates can follow these steps given below.

Purchasing PIN and Application Fee Payment

Candidates are required to buy a PIN from any branch of AXIS Bank by paying an amount of INR 200 for all candidates, and INR 10,000 is to be paid in case of NRIs.

Registration Process

Candidates will have to get registered from the official website of ACPUGMEC by providing a valid email and some basic details.

Application Form Fill up

After registration, candidates will have to enter personal and academic details. Make sure that you submit all the details correctly.

Uploading of the Documents

After entering all the details, you will have to upload the photograph and signature. The Photograph and Signature Documents must be uploaded as per the specifications. Providing images with the wrong specifications will be rejected.

Save the Login ID and Password

Candidates, at this point, will have to note down the login Id and create a password for the same.

Editing the Application

Soon after the application forms are closed, the conducting body will release another facility to make corrections in the application form. So, candidates who have filled and submitted the Gujarat MBBS and BDS Admission Form can make certain changes. This facility will be available for a limited period of time. Therefore, we advise you to make changes before the deadline date. The applications can be reviewed and corrected.

Gujarat MBBS and BDS Merit List 2020

The Gujarat NEET Merit List 2020 will be released soon after the submission of the Online Application Form. However, the authorities prepare the Merit List on the basis of the NEET Scores. The Merit List will be available in the form of PDF so that the candidates can download it easily. On the basis of the NEET Scores and the Eligibility Conditions, the conducting body will analyze and prepare the Gujarat MBBS and BDS Merit List pdf. Moreover, the Rank List will include the names, marks, subject, and category and qualification status. The students will be called for counselling as per the rank list only.

ACPUGMEC MBBS and BDS Counselling

Gujarat MBBS Counselling will be a straight-forward procedure. Gujarat Medical Counseling Conducting Authority will prepare a merit list on the basis of NEET. The Rank List will be prepared on the basis of the candidate’s performance in NEET. Based on the Merit List, candidates will be called in for participating in the counselling sessions of Gujarat MBBS Admission. The Counselling will take place online. However, for each round of counselling, a merit list will be prepared. So, candidates who have been shortlisted will have to attend the counseling. In the ACPUGMEC Counselling Process, the documents and further details will be provided. Hence, there will be two to three rounds of counselling depending on the availability of the seats.

Seat Allotment Details

The allotment of seats will be solely based on the NEET Score of the candidate and Merit List prepared by the counselling conducting body. However, there will be reserved seats for candidates from OBC, SC, and ST categories. Further, during the seat allotment process, the seat matrix is considered. The seat matrix basically indicates the no. of seats available for admission.
