AIIMS B.Sc Nursing/ Paramedical Eligibility Criteria 2025

The Eligibility Criteria is the most important factor in the admission process. Candidates must take note of the eligibility criteria, as the complete selection process depends on the eligibility conditions. The AIIMS B.Sc Nursing 2025 Eligibility Conditions are as follows-

  • The Nationality of the Candidate must be Indian/ OCI/ Foreign Nationals
  • The minimum age of the candidate is 17 years as of 31st December 2025. The age of the applicant should not be born after 2nd January 2002.
  • This Course is only applicable to female candidates.
  • The Applicant must have passed class 12th from a recognized Institute/ University of any Indian State.
  • Applicants must have Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as their subjects.
  • The Minimum Qualifying Marks must be 55% for General and OBC Category candidates and 50% for Reserved Category Candidates.
  • For the Bachelor of Optometry, Medical Technology in Radiography Courses, Dental Operating Room Assistant, the minimum qualifying marks must be 50% for General and OBC and 45% for Reserved Category.
  • For AIIMS Bhubaneswar, Medical Laboratory/Technology (MLT), and B.Sc in Operation Theatre and Anaesthesiology, Radiotherapy, and Radiography, the minimum qualifying marks must be 50% for General and OBC and 45% for Reserved Category.
  • Only female candidates are eligible for AIIMS B.Sc Nursing 2025.

  • Candidates whose results are likely to be declared in June 2025 are also eligible to apply.
  • Candidates who are due to appear in the examination or are waiting for the results are also eligible to apply. In that case, candidates have to submit proof regarding the passing exam details at the time of counselling.

AIIMS Nursing Eligibility Criteria for Post-Basic Nursing

The Eligibility Criteria for AIIMS Post-Basic Nursing is as follows-

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognized Board/ University. Candidates who have passed 10+2 on or before 1986 are also eligible.
  • The Candidate must have a Diploma in GNM from any recognized Institution or with any State Nursing Council.
  • The applicant must have registered as a nurse, RN/ RM with any State Nursing Council.
  • In the case of Male Nurses, candidates must have registered as a nurse with any State Nursing Council. Also, must have a certificate in GNM Training for at least six months from any of the following courses-

Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Nationals

If you are a Foreign National, then you are admitted to the AIIMS New Delhi only. The Eligibility condition is quite similar to that but they are exempted from taking the Entrance Examination. These candidates are offered admission on the basis of the academic scores.

Eligibility Criteria for OCI Citizens

The Overseas Citizen of India shall be eligible to apply to all seven AIIMS Institutes. The Candidates have to submit their proof of registration as OCI under section 7A of the Citizenship Act. 1955 to eligible to appear in the test.

Eligibility Criteria of AIIMS B.Sc Nursing (Post-Basic)

  • Candidates must have passed class 12th from a recognized Board/ University
  • Candidates who have passed Class 10th and 12th on or before 1987 are also eligible.

Basic Registration

The Basic Registration is the first step to fill in the application form. To start with the basic registration, candidates have to visit the official website and complete the steps. The AIIMS Nursing, basic registration includes the following steps-

Filling Personal Details

  • Name of the candidate
  • Father’s Name
  • Mother’s Name
  • Address as per the residential proof
  • Date of Birth
  • Category of the Applicant

Uploading of Image

After receiving the registration ID and the password, you have to log in using the credentials and upload the scanned images. You have to upload the scanned images of your photograph, signature, and left-hand thumb impression. These images must be as per the specification mentioned in the prospectus. Uploading images with no proper specifications can lead to the rejection of the application form.

AIIMS Generation of Code

The AIIMS Nursing Merit List is released via online mode along with the result. The AIIMS Nursing Merit List indicates the qualifying status of the candidate. In the Merit List, candidates can check the qualifying marks as well as the rank of the candidates. Tie-Breaking Criteria of AIIMS Nursing 2025

To qualify the candidates and make them eligible on the AIIMS Nursing Merit List, the exam conducting authority follows a tie-breaking method. Usually, the tie-breaking method is used when two or a number of candidates score the same number of marks.

The Criteria’s used under AIIMS B.Sc Nursing Merit List is as follows-

  • If the applicant obtains more marks in Biology, (or Mathematics in case of Para-Medical Courses) in AIIMS Nursing.
  • If still the tie-exists, then the candidates obtaining more marks in Chemistry are considered and ranked higher.

If two or more than two candidates score the same number of marks in both stages- 1 and 2, then the tie-breaking criteria are considered using the following cases-

  • Candidates who have scored more marks on the written test are ranked higher.
  • If the tie still exists, candidates who are older in age get a higher rank.

AIIMS Nursing Counselling 2025

The AIIMS B.Sc and Paramedical Nursing Counselling take place via online mode. The Counselling starts soon after the declaration of the merit list. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences conducts the counselling process for AIIMS Nursing. In total, there are two rounds of counseling. The order of the counselling is- General/ ST/ SC/ OBC. The Counselling Procedure is done on the basis of the merit list/ ranks secured by the candidate. The Final Round of Counselling/ Mop-Up Round takes place offline and the applicants have to be physically present on the scheduled date and time.

AIIMS Nursing Medical Examination 2025

Candidates who are selected for admission, except those selected for B.Sc Nursing (Post-Basic) have to undergo the Medical Examination by a Medical Board. If any candidate is found medically unfit then, he/ she may not get admission. The Process is strictly followed by the faculty members of the Board. The AIIMS B.Sc Nursing Medical Exam takes place on the basis of the Merit List.

Reporting the Allotted Institute for Admission

  • After all the entrance examinations and assessment tests, a Medical Test takes place.
  • Candidates who are Medically Fit shall be eligible for admission
  • The selected candidate has to make the payment by the specified date.
  • At the time of admission, candidates have to bring all the necessary documents and certificates and have to submit them to the College until the course period.
  • Candidates have to undergo a biometric verification at the time of admission.

Note: Candidates who are already pursuing B.Sc Course or equivalent in any subject but have not completed the same are also considered. In this case, they have to report the concerned Institute and deposit the original documents along with a DD of Rs 50, 000 as a Security Deposit. The Security Deposit Amount is refunded back 5 days after the submission of the original documents.

Admission and Accommodation Fees of AIIMS Nursing

Candidates who have been shortlisted for admission have to pay the following fees and dues during the college-

  • Candidates who want to access the National Medical Library Facilities have to deposit Rs 50/- extra.
  • The above fees are revised from time to time by the Institute, and the students have to pay the fees as decided by the Institute.
  • The Caution money is refunded back to the candidates who did not join the course. In case, a student is leaving the course in the middle or after the completion of the course, the balance is refunded back.
  • The mess is compulsory for the Nursing Candidates who are residing in the hostel. The mess charges are Rs 700/- per month.
