Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS Application Form 2019 – Procedure

Application Submission for Tamil Nadu MBBS admission involves creating a user profile, downloading the application form, application form fill up, document uploading, and application fee payment. Candidates who are interested in applying can simply follow these steps.

Candidates are required to download the application form from the official website of DME Tamil Nadu. Take a print of the form. The download link will be activated during the second week of June 2019.

After downloading the application form, candidates must fill up the application form in writing. Make sure that you fill all the details carefully. Providing any wrong information can cause rejection of the form.

Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS Application Form 2019 -Application fee payment

The application form will be paid offline. Candidates are required to draw a demand draft in favor of ‘The secretary, selection committee, Kilpauk, Chennai’. The application form is to be delivered in along with the application form. The application fee for all candidates will be INR 500, and the amount paid will be non-refundable.

Tamil Nadu NEET MBBS 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Before filling in the application form, candidates must make sure they meet the eligibility requirements set forth by the admission conducting committee. The eligibility criteria are an important detail that candidates must make sure that they follow. The Eligibility Criteria is as follows.

Nationality
Candidates must be a citizen of India. Other than that, the candidate who holds an Overseas Citizen of India Card can also apply.

Domicile Factor
Candidates seeking admissions for the medical programmes must satisfy the domicile criteria of Tamil Nadu, i.e. students with either roots in Tamil Nadu, who have spent considerable amount of years in the state of Tamil Nadu, and has done their schooling from Tamil Nadu will be considered eligible.

Candidates who are not a domicile of Tamil Nadu are only eligible for private management quota.

Age Factor
The minimum age required to apply for Tamil Nadu MBBS 2019 admissions is 17th years.

The age limit will be 25 years for candidates belonging to General and OBC categories.

There will be an age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST categories, i.e. SC/ST candidates can apply till 30 years of age.

Qualifying Examination
The qualifying examination will be the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) according to the new notifications released by MHRD and Tamil Nadu state government.

Other than that, candidates must have passed 10+2 from State Board of Tamil Nadu or equivalent.

Qualifying Subjects
Candidates who have studied 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology are eligible for seeking admission. Other than that, proficiency in English will be considered desirable.

Qualifying Marks/Percentage
Candidates must have cleared 10+2 examination with a combined aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

A relaxation of 5% is available for the PWD Candidates.

A relaxation of 10 percent is available for the OBC/SC/ST categories
