Tamil Nadu MBBS Application Form 2020

Directorate of Medical Education (DME) will be opening the registration window, tentatively, during the 2nd week of August 2020. Candidates, who are eligible, can apply for the same online from the official website of DME. The officials haven’t announced the official dates yet. Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS Application Procedure

Application Submission for Tamil Nadu MBBS admission involves creating a user profile, downloading the application form, application form fill up, document uploading, and application fee payment. Candidates who are interested in applying can simply follow the below-mentioned steps.

Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS Application Form 2020 -Application fee payment

The application form will be paid offline. Candidates are required to draw a demand draft in favor of ‘The secretary, selection committee, Kilpauk, Chennai’. The application form is to be delivered in along with the application form. The application fee for all candidates will be INR 500, and the amount paid will be non-refundable.

Tamil Nadu NEET MBBS 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Before filling in the application form, candidates must make sure they meet the eligibility requirements set forth by the admission conducting committee. The eligibility criteria are an important detail that candidates must make sure that they follow. The Eligibility Criteria is as follows.

Domicile Factor
Candidates seeking admissions for the medical programmes must satisfy the domicile criteria of Tamil Nadu, i.e. students with either root in Tamil Nadu, who have spent a considerable amount of years in the state of Tamil Nadu, and has done their schooling from Tamil Nadu will be considered eligible.

Candidates who are not a domicile of Tamil Nadu are only eligible for private management quota.

Age Factor
The minimum age required to apply for Tamil Nadu MBBS 2020 admissions is 17th years.

The age limit will be 25 years for candidates belonging to General and OBC categories.

There will be an age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST categories, i.e. SC/ST candidates can apply till 30 years of age.

Qualifying Examination
The qualifying examination will be the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) according to the new notifications released by MHRD and Tamil Nadu state government.

Other than that, candidates must have passed 10+2 from State Board of Tamil Nadu or equivalent.

Qualifying Subjects
Candidates who have studied 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology are eligible for seeking admission. Other than that, proficiency in English will be considered desirable.
Qualifying Marks/Percentage
Candidates must have cleared 10+2 examination with a combined aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

A relaxation of 5% is available for the PWD Candidates.

A relaxation of 10 per cent is available for the OBC/SC/ST categories

TN MBBS 2020 Merit List

A merit list is prepared for ranking the candidates in order of merit. This helps the authorities in carrying out the admission procedure easily. Further, Tamil Nadu Rank List is prepared by considering candidates’ performance in the NEET Exam. This list will be published on the official website of Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tamil Nadu. Candidates will thus be able to download and check it out from there. Tamil Nadu MBBS Counselling

The round of counselling will begin soon after the release of the merit list. It is the last round of the admission process.
