COMEDK Eligibility Criteria 2020: The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka sets the eligibility criteria for COMEDK 2020 exam. COMEDK UGET 2020 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria to fill the COMEDK Application form are:
For Engineering Courses

Qualifying Exam | Candidates must clear the second PUC or 10+2 Higher Secondary or equivalent exam recognized by the state/central government. | ||||
Qualifying Exam Subjects | Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with English as a compulsory subject | ||||
Qualifying Marks | General candidates need at least 45% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and ST, SC AND OBC candidates of Karnataka need 40%.
Candidates also need to have qualified in these subjects individually. |
Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Bio-Technology/ Biology or Computer Science or Electronics as one of the optional subjects. Any change is adopted through the AICTE.
An attempt in the COMEDK Entrance Test seeking admission to Engineering courses is considered adequate for figuring in the rank list.
Diploma candidates are not eligible to take the Entrance Test as there are no lateral entry admissions.

NOTE: There shall be no Entrance Test for candidates seeking admission to B. Arch Course.
Candidates who want B.Arch admission have to submit separate application forms for counseling as per the notification on the COMEDK website (which will be made available before counseling).
Interested candidates need not submit the application form for the engineering entrance exam.
If candidates have some changes in the eligibility criteria then it will be adopted by AICTE, VTU, COA or any other competent Regulatory Authorities before the start of the rank generation process of COMEDK.
Reservation In COMEDK UGET Eligibility Criteria 2020
- Classification of the candidates have to be done or classified as General Merit and SC/ ST/ OBC on Karnataka Basis OR
- Students who belong to Tulu/ Christian minority communities and those belonging to Hyderabad-Karnataka (HK) Region have to produce the community certificate at the time of counselling.
- Candidates belonging to the reserved category and who are “local persons” enjoy the reservation in the HK region as per Karnataka Government Order.
