According to Times Now the JEE Main 2019: Expected Cut off after Slot 1 on Jan 10
- Physics = 30 – 35
- Chemistry = 35 – 45
- Mathematics = 25 – 30
- Overall = 85 – 105
According to Jagranjosh, the expected cutoff of JEE Mains 2019 Paper I is:
• General: 70 marks to 80 marks.
• OBC-NCL: 43 marks to 50 marks.
• For SC: 27 marks to 30 marks.
•For ST: 22 marks to 26 marks.
According to India Today, and Times of India, the recorded JEE Main cut off for this year:
- The expected cut-off will range between 72-77 marks.

JEE Main Percentile scores

JEE Main Cutoff 2019
The cut-off for JEE Main 2019 has been released after the declaration of the results. Cut off is the minimum qualifying mark required to qualify an entrance test. There are cut-offs (estimated) declared by coaching institutes and there are official cut-offs that are released by the National Testing Agency. With the announcement of JEE Main result and AIR (All India Rank), the JEE Mains Cut off will also be announced.
Since NTA conducted the JEE Main 2019 twice in a year (January and April), there are speculations that there will be three JEE Main 2019 Cut off.
- The first JEE Main 2019 cut off may be released after the January 2019 result has been released on 31st January 2019.
- The second JEE Mains cut off may be released after the April 2019 result has been announced on 30th April 2019.
- The concerned body may release the JEE Main 2019 Combined cut off after both the results have been declared.
Types of JEE Main 2019 Cutoff
There are two types of cut off. For the candidates to have a clear idea about both, the candidate can read the difference below.
JEE Main Qualifying Cutoff 2019
The JEE Main 2019 qualifying cut off will be published by the exam conducting body – NTA. This cut off was earlier released by the CBSE. The qualifying cut off is basically the qualifying marks that a candidate must obtain to be able to take the JEE Advanced. Candidates will be required to login to their student portal where they will be able to view the same. The qualifying cut off will be published along with the announcement of result. Only those candidates who meet the qualifying marks can appear in JEE Advanced.
JEE Main Admission Cutoff 2019
The JEE Main 2019 Admission Cutoff will be published by JoSAA (Joint seat allocation Authority). This jee main cut-off will be displayed on behalf of the participating institutes. The admission cut off refers to the Minimum Marks required for admission to the participating institute.

Importance of JEE Mains 2019 Cut off
The Joint Entrance Examination Main 2019 is going to be conducted soon for the first time by NTA. All aspirants must make sure that they have a clear idea about the JEE Mains 2019 cut off. Trend Analysis for past years
There is a particular trend that can be seen after analyzing the past years. The cut off released for general category candidates in 2016 was 100 which dipped down to 81 in the year 2017. This could be due to the following reasons.
- The JEE Main 2019 is getting tougher.
- The number of qualifying candidates are increasing. For instance, in 2018, the number of qualifying candidates was increased from 2,24,000 from 2,20,000.
- The performance of candidates if taken overall is lowering down. This may be because there are a large number of coaching institutes and that not all students can afford these coaching institutes.
