UPSEE Counselling 2020: Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Uttar Pradesh conducts the AKTU/UPTU 2020, which is also known as UPSEE. Counselling procedure started and the seat allotment of the 4th round is declared. Process is taking place after the UPSEE Result is out. The candidates who have cleared the UPSEE 2020 exam and score the rank can appear for UPSEE Counselling. Candidates need to have the UPSEE counselling registration in order to appear for the UPSEE 2020 counselling. The process of counselling is in online mode. At the time of counselling, candidates need to fill the choice of colleges and get their documents verified. UPSEE Counselling Date 2020 (Rank Wise)
UPTU Counselling as per the round for the session 2020-21 is given below. No official statement has been released by the conducting body yet. However tentative dates are taken into account for the reference. Below is the table:

UPSEE Counselling 2020- Stages
The students who will clear the UPSEE 2020 exam and who holds the rank can participate in the counselling process of UPSEE. Thus in order to be the part of counselling, the following are the stages which the candidates have to go through:
- Registration and Uploading the documents
- Payment of the UPSEE counselling fee
- After the above two processes, the central authorized letter submitted by EWS and TFW candidates is verified by the concerned authority.
- Candidates will receive the SMS of the documents verification. So must have the valid and correct mobile no.
- As per the preference, the candidates have the opportunity to fill the choice of the college and courses.
- Declaration of the seat allotment result.
- Acceptance of the seat and seat acceptance fee has to be paid.
- The seat options are Phase 1: Freeze and Float, Phase 2: Freeze and Float, Phase 3: Freeze and Float, Phase 4: Auto Freeze.
- Download provisional allotment letter. (If the seat is confirmed then this allotment letter will be considered).
- Candidates have to report in the concerned colleges/institution.
UPSEE Counselling Process 2020
AKTU Counselling 2020 will take place in four phases. Check the four-phase as given in the article below.
Step 1: Registration
- Visit www.upsee.nic.in
- Click on the link of UPSEE Counselling
- Click on the “new registration”
- Enter details such as roll number, application no., name, father’s name, date of birth, security pin (as shown on the screen), mailing address and mobile number
- Choose any one of the security questions and answer it and set the password.
- Click on the “Final Submit”
- Login to the account by entering roll number, password and security pin (as shown on the screen)
- Click on ‘I Agree’ checkbox to sign the consent form
- Fill the details asked in the form such as gender, domicile, etc
- Upload the mark sheet of the qualifying exam and Class 10th certificate in PDF format. Documents size should be between 50 KB and 300 KB
- Click on Submit for Review button
- Review the form and check if there is any kind of correction requirement.If yes then do it and if not then move on to the next step.
- Click on Save & Final Submit button
- Make a payment of UPSEE counselling fee in an online mode through debit card/ credit card/ net banking/ MOPS payment gateway
Step 2: Document Verification
Since the UPSEE Counselling is an online procedure, the eligibility of the candidate is verified. There are certain documents that need to be uploaded by the candidates. Those documents are:
- UPSEE Admit Card 2020
- AKTU/UPTU Rank Card 2020
- Class 10th and 12th certificate & mark sheet
- Domicile certificate
- If the candidate has passed the qualifying exam from the other state i.e not form UP then the Domicile certificate of candidate’s father or mother is required.
- Character certificate
- Medical certificate
- Category certificate (if applicable)
- Sub-category certificate (if applicable)
- Income certificate (if applicable)
- GDDA category certificate (if applicable)
Step 3: Choice Filling and Locking
In this step, candidates have to fill the choice of the colleges/institutions and courses as per the preference and have to lock it. This will fix the seat of the students in that college or institution. It is important to lock the choice because if the candidates fail to do so then the candidate’s last saved choices will be auto-locked. Candidates must note that once the choices are locked then no further changes can be done by them.
Step 4: Seat Allotment Process
Once the choice filling and locking are over, the AKTU will announce the result of the seat allotment to the candidates. This solely depends on the marks and rank the candidates will hold in the UPSEE 2020 exam. Seat allotment based on the following things:
- Candidates rank
- His/Her order of preference for colleges and courses
- Seat availability as per the category, courses, and colleges
Step 5: Confirmation of Seats by Candidates
After the seat allotment process, the candidates have to confirm the seats allotted to them. They can accept or reject the seats in the following ways:
- Freeze: If candidates are satisfied with the seat allotment process and would like to take admission then they have to select Freeze option.
- Float: Candidates can select the float option if they wish to keep the allotted seat but also want to opt for up-gradation in the next round of counselling.
- Withdraw: Withdraw option works if the candidates do not want to accept the allotted seat and want to withdraw from further rounds of UPSEE counselling 2020
Step 6: Physical Reporting
After the completion of the above process, the candidates who want to take admission have to report to the concerned department in person. Final reportings have to be done in person within the specified time allotted to them.
UPSEE Spot Round Counselling
Once the counselling procedure is over if there are any vacant seats, then spot round counselling takes place. This is usually conducted in an offline mode. Candidates who will be participating in the UPSEE spot round must have the DD in favour of Finance Officer, AKTU payable at Lucknow. They must also carry the original and required documents. Candidates need to report at the specified venue in a given period of time. After the verification process, on the basis of the ranks candidates will be allotted the seats.
UPTU Spot Round Counselling Eligibility
The candidates who can participate in the spot counselling of UPSEE exam are:
- Students who don’t have the allotted seats in the previous rounds of UPSEE counselling
- Candidates who got the seats but did not confirm their admission
- Candidates who secured a rank in the exam but could not participate in counselling due to unavoidable circumstances
AKTU Admission Process 2020
After the counselling procedure candidates have to download the provisional allotment letter and report on the specified venue. This letter is provided once the candidates confirm the seat allotted to them. Candidates can download the provisional allotment letter from the official site of UPTU. Candidates must have the original documents with them. The remaining money has to be paid by them in order to complete the admission process.
