On what basis the Odisha NEET MBBS Rank List is prepared?
The Merit List is prepared in the decreasing format of NEET 2021 Scores of the candidates. This means that the candidate who has scored the highest NEET marks and has applied the Odisha MBBS Application Form gets the first rank and so forth. Odisha MBBS Merit List – Tie-Breaking Method
This is a very common issue that happens usually. Most of the time, two or more applicants’ rank is equal. So to make it fair, a Tie-Breaking Method takes place. The Tie-Breaking Procedure have certain criteria which are as follows-
- Candidates with higher marks in Biology in 10+2 shall get a Higher Rank.
- Applicants with Higher Marks in Physics get a better rank.
- If still, the tie exists, then the Chemistry Marks will be taken into consideration. Candidates scoring more marks in chemistry are placed higher on the rank list.
- If still, the tie exists, then the candidates with older age is preferred.

Highlights of Odisha MBBS and BDS Merit List 2021
- Candidates must appear NEET and fill the Odisha Application Form.
- The merit list is released for all the candidates collectively.
- Candidates whose name is on the merit list shall be eligible for the Document Verification Round and Counselling Round.

What to do after the release of the Odisha MBBS Merit List?
Soon after the release of the Odisha ojee.nic.in MBBS Merit List, the cell conducts the counselling process. The Odisha MBBS/ BDS Counselling takes place for each Merit List round. Thus, in the counselling session, candidates have to go for an Online Registration and a Document Verification Round. In the Odisha MBBS Online Counselling Registration process, candidates have to register online and submit the college and course preferences. On the basis of the seat availability, course options, the candidate is allotted a seat. After the completion of the online counselling process, candidates have to report for Document Verification.
In the Document Verification Round, the examiner/ authority checks all the documents and tally with the information that you have provided in the application form. If all the details match and are correct, then you have to make the payment of the admission fees.
