NEET 2025 Exam will be conducted on 12th September 2025. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced on Monday (July 12). The exam will take place in 11 languages, including Hindi and English in offline mode. However, students are demanding to postpone the exams to October 2025. The exam will be conducted once only. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is a single entrance examination for admission to undergraduate medical courses in India. Now, the admission to MBBS Course in AIIMS, and JIPMER is also through NEET 2025. Moreover, the National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts this entrance examination. Is there any change in NEET 2025 by NTA?
- There is a slight change in the NEET Exam Pattern, as now the question paper will 20% more questions. Hence, candidates will have the option to choose which question they want to attempt. This decision is taken considering the pandemic situation.
- NTA was considering the request of conducting the exam in online mode. However, through an official notice, it has announced that NEET 2025 exam will be a Pen & Paper-based test only.
NEET 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must check out the eligibility criteria before filling the application form. It is necessary for all applicants to satisfy the eligibility conditions. The eligibility criteria are prescribed by the NTA. In addition, the criteria are as per the Indian Medical Council Act – 1956 and the Dentist Act 1948 as amended in 2018. Further, the NEET 2025 Eligibility Factor comprises the age criteria, qualifications, reservations, etc. The eligibility conditions are further explained below in detail.
Educational Qualifications
- Applicant should have passed 10+2 from a recognized board.
- In addition, the candidate should have passed with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and English as core subjects.
- The Qualifying Marks for UR are 50% and 45% (UR PWD). Whereas, for Reserved Category it is 40%.
Nationality and Age-Criteria
- The Nationality of the Candidate must be Indian/ NRI/ OCI/ PIOs or Foreign Nationals.
- The minimum required age is 17 years as of 31st December 2025.
- Further, there is no upper age limit. Now the candidates above 25 years can also participate.
Number of Attempts
- There is no restriction, thus students can appear for the exam as many times as they want.
- Furthermore, students planning to study abroad should note that their NEET Score is valid for 3 years only.

NEET Application Form 2025
The NEET Application Form is released on the Official Website (ntaneet.nic.in). Thus, the candidates cannot access the form through any other mode. Further, the other important details regarding the application process are as follows:
- Candidates must submit only one application. As the submission of multiple forms leads to the rejection of the registration form.
- Further, to complete the registration process, candidates have to provide a valid mobile number and email ID. Candidates shall provide correct details as all the communication is done through it only.
- The candidates do not need to send a printed application form to the board further.
- Moreover, candidates can edit their forms after submission as well. It can be done during the NEET application correction 2025 process. However, this facility is provided for a limited period of time. The complete details regarding this process are mentioned in this article.
Stages Of Application Process
- Online Registration: The students have to register first by providing basic information about themselves. After providing the asked information, the registration ID and password are sent over the mail or SMS. These shall further be your login credentials.
- Filling Up Details: After completing the registration process, students need to enter other details such as exam centre choice, qualification, address, etc.
- Uploading Of Scanned Image of Photograph & Signature: Candidates have to upload scanned images of asked documents. Make sure that you upload the image as per the prescribed specifications. - The applicants can pay the fee in both online and offline mode.

NTA NEET Application Form Correction 2025
The NTA allows students to edit the submitted application forms. Candidates who made any mistake while filling the form can correct them. Candidates seeking admission have to qualify for the NEET 2025 Cut off percentile and marks. Admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH courses is granted only if the candidate has a score equal to or more than the cut-off. NEET Counselling 2025
The Directorate General of the Health Services conducts the NTA NEET Counselling. In this admission round, candidates have to appear in person along with a set of documents. In addition, the round of counselling takes place in online mode by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Further, the counselling is conducted in three rounds. However, if the seats are left vacant after the three rounds. Then a mop-up round is conducted for filling up the vacant seats.

NEET Seat Allotment 2025
Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of the Medical Counseling Committee carries out the seat allotment process. Wherein, the seats are allotted to the students as per their NEET Score, filled-in choices, Seat Matrix, and Reservation Policy. NEET Seat Allotment List is published separately for each round of counseling. Moreover, seat allotment of 85% state quota seats is done by the respective state counselling authorities.
