JEE Main 2020 Seat Reservation – Candidates can check the JEE Main 2020 Seat reservation that is applicable for those who belong the some of the other category prescribed by the exam conducting body i.e. NTA (National Testing Agency). The application form of JEE Main 2020 is going to be released on 3rd September and candidates have to fill in various details including the category that they belong to. Candidates belonging to the SC, ST, OBC, Female candidates, Persons with Disability (PwD) will be given certain benefits in terms of seat allocation, etc.

JEE Main 2020 Admit Card will be released on 6th December 2019. Candidates must mandatorily check all the details of the admit card and carry all necessary listed documents.
The NTA will make provisions for providing JEE Main 2020 seat reservation for the candidates belonging to the Scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, Other backward class, Female candidates, Persons with Disability (PwD). There are a certain number of seats reserved especially for these candidates.

JEE Main Seat Reservation 2020: The benefit of reservation for admission to NITs/IIITs and CFTIs will be provided only to those classes/ castes/ tribes which are in the respective central list published by the Govt. of India. For admission to State Engineering colleges who have opted for admission through JEE Main 2020, the reservation rules of that State will apply. Read – JEE Main Eligibility Criteria

Categories for JEE Main Seat Reservation 2020
JEE Main 2020 Seat Reservation: As per Government of India rules candidates belonging to certain categories are admitted to seats reserved for them based on relaxed criteria. These categories are:

JEE Main Seat Reservation in State Universities
The JEE Main 2020 reservation criteria that are applicable in the state universities will depend on the state. The reservation in state universities are divided into two:
- Home state Quota – If candidates have passed class XII examination from a particular state and cleared the examination, they can claim the Home State Quota reservation. Students with the Home state Quota will be given preference in the state universities over those who are from another state.
- Other state Quota – These are the candidates who are applying to a particular state university but are originally from other state and have passed class XII examination from another state.
How to Claim JEE Main 2020 Seat Reservation?
- While filling up the JEE Main 2020 Application form, candidates must provide their correct category.
- All the candidates who are going to claim seats under their respective category must make sure to provide all the correct and valid documents during verification.
- Failing to do so will result in cancellation of the candidature. Without the required certificates, no student will be able to claim the JEE Main seat reservation whatsoever.
