About JEE Advanced 2020 Examination

JEE Advanced is the second phase of NTA JEE Main. Although JEE Main acts as the screening test for jee advanced. The exam is conducted by the 7 zonal IITs on a rotational basis under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board (JAB). The qualifiers of JEE Main will be able to apply for the JEE advanced 2020 examination. Furthermore, the qualified students of JEE advanced 2020 will be able to pursue their education in undergraduate, postgraduate and dual degree programs in the field of Engineering. Depending upon the rank, candidates are granted admission in various reputed institutions that includes IITs, NITs, and other CFTIs. After conducting the entrance exam, the concerned authority will also conduct the Architecture Aptitude Test.

  • JEE Advanced 2020 examination is a computer-based test, i.e it will be conducted via online mode.
  • The examination of jee advanced 2020 will consist of 2 papers i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2
  • Both the papers will be held for 3 hours duration each.
  • Paper 1 will be conducted form 9:00 am to 12:00 pm while Paper 2 will be conducted from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
  • The question paper will be divided into 3 sections
  • The questions are chiefly from the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • There will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) in the question paper.
  • The question papers will be in English as well as Hindi languages.
  • The examination will contain a total of 54 questions.

JEE Advanced Marking Scheme

The question paper has 3 sections and each section has its own questions:

  1. This section consists of 4 Multiple Choice Questions where each question is provided with 4 options.
  2. This section consists of 8 Multiple Choice Questions where one or more questions will be correct.
  3. There are 6 questions in this section and the answer to the question will be a single-digit integer while in Paper 2 the question will be comprehension type.

Architecture Aptitude Test- Exam Pattern

  • Architecture Aptitude Test will be conducted via offline mode i.e it will be a pen and paper-based test
  • The exam will consist of only one paper.
  • There will be objective type questions in the question paper.
  • AAT examination will be divided into 3 sections namely Mathematics, Aptitude, and Drawing
  • The exam will be conducted for 3 hours duration.
  • The question paper will be in English medium only.
