The qualified students of the JEE Main 2021 will be eligible for the JEE Advanced 2021. The exam takes place for the selection of the students in different IITs. One of the IIT will conduct the JEE Advanced 2021 exam. The seven Zonal Coordinating IITs namely IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati and IIT Roorkee under the aegis of the Joint Admission Board (JAB) conducts the exam. In order to participate in the exam, students have to qualify the JEE Main 2021 (Top 2,50,000). 10+2 is the minimum education qualification which the candidates need to participate in the JEE Advanced 2021. As per the rank of the candidates in JEE Advanced 2021, seats will be allotted in all the 23 IITs including the Indian School of Mines (ISM).

Check Eligibility For Jee Advanced Exam

The JEE Advanced 2021 application process will tentatively start in May 2021. The entrance test is in online mode for 3 hrs that will be held in two shifts (9 am to 12 pm and 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm). JEE Advanced will take two papers in account i.e Paper 1 & Paper 2 formulated from syllabus released by the JEE Advanced authorities. Thus JEE Advanced hall ticket 2021 will be available in May and the result will be announced tentatively in June 2021. The Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) will have a separate date for the exam JEE Advanced admit card 2021 will be available in May and the result will be announced tentatively in June 2021. The Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) will be held separately and results for the same will be announced in June 2021. The process of admission in IITs is followed by the counselling held by JoSAA.

JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria 2021

In order to participate in the JEE Advanced 2021, candidates need to fulfill certain requirements. No one will be able to participate if they don’t possess the eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced 2021. Make sure that the candidates must have the documents to verify the information entered.

Who Are Not Eligible For JEE Advanced 2021?

  • Candidates whose admission at IITs was canceled after joining any IIT are  NOT eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2021.

How To Fill JEE Advanced 2021 Application Form?

The candidates who will qualify the JEE Main 2021, will have to follow certain steps in order to fill the form. The application process of JEE Advanced 2021 will take place in an online mode. Candidates have to visit the official link (at the time of the event) in order to apply. Thus look at the procedure to apply for JEE Advanced 2021.

Step 1 – Registration

In order to register for JEE Advanced 2021, candidates have to visit the official website and log in using their application number and date of birth. Enter the correct credentials if required. Upon successful registration, candidates will receive a message containing login credentials like email id and password.

Step 2 – Fill The Details

After the registration process, candidates need to fill the details asked such as personal, qualification and communication details. Candidates must be attentive while filling the form and enter the correct details. Enter the JEE Advanced exam centre from the list mention as per the preference.

Step 3 – Upload The Documents

Students also have to upload scanned documents with the specification as prescribed by the exam conducting body after filling the details. These documents comprise of scanned images of the following:

After the payment is done, candidates have to submit the application form. But before that, they need to check that the details entered in the application form are correct. After confirming, submit the online application form. Make sure to submit the application form before the due date & avoid the last-minute rush. JEE Advanced 2021 Answer Key

After the conclusion of the exam, the conducting body will release the Provisional & FInal JEE Advanced Answer Key 2021 on the official site. Thus the answer key will be out in an online mode. JEE Advanced Answer Key 2021 answer key will contain the correction responses of the questions asked in the exam. Along with an answer key, the authority will also release the response sheet of students. What If There Is A Tie – Breaking Situation In JEE Advanced 2021?

Many times candidates secure the same marks which lead to a tie-breaking section in the ranking system. In order to solve the situation, there is some tie-breaking policy.

  • Candidates having a higher number of positive marks will be allotted a higher rank
  • If the tie still continues then the candidate having higher marks in Mathematics will be given a higher rank.
  • If the tie still persists, then the candidate having higher marks in Physics will be assigned a higher rank.
  • If the case is not resolved then candidates will be given the same ranks.

JEE Advanced Cutoff 2021

Cut off is the minimum marks which the candidates need to have in order to participate in the admission process. The JEE Advanced 2021 cut off will be out in an online mode. Category wise qualifying cut off will be released. Cut off for JEE Advanced will be in terms of the opening and closing rank. Candidates who will score equal to or more than the cut-off will be eligible for admissions. And one who scores rank below the cut-off will not be eligible for admission. Thus candidates have to perform really well in order to secure a valid score so as to have higher chances of getting admission.

The category-wise cut-off marks will be calculated for the top 20 percentile depending upon marks of the candidates who will pass their respective boards in the year 2021. A separate cut off marks will also be released by various participating institutes for granting admission to aspirants.

Check Foreign Nationals Eligibility Criteria for JEE Advanced 2021

Who comes under Foreign Nationals?

Candidates who are not Indian Citizens and are studying (or studied) abroad at 10+2 or equivalent exam at the time of JEE Advanced Registration 2021 are considered as foreign nationals. The foreign nationals are not inside the scope of reservation of seats under the GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST and PwD categories as prescribed by Government of India.

According to the recent update by the JEE Advanced exam conducting authorities, the foreign nationals eligibility criteria are laid down below.

  1. Age: The candidates should have been born on or after 1st October 1995.
  2. Number of Attempts: The candidates can attempt a maximum of 2 times in consecutive years.
  3. Appearing candidates in Class 12th or equivalent exam: The candidate should have appeared for Class 12th in 2019 or 2021. However, in case the Class 12th Exam board announces the result for 2017-18 after June 2018, then the candidates are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2021. But, if the result of the year 2017-2018 is declared before June 2018 but a particular candidate’s result was withheld, then the candidate is not eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2021.
  4. Must have secured at least 75% aggregate marks
  5. Marks secured in the following 5 subjects will be taken into consideration for calculating the aggregate & cutoff marks in order to fulfill the top 20 percentile criteria.
    • Physics
    • Chemistry
    • Maths
    • Language (in case the candidate has taken more than 1 language then the language of higher marks will be considered)
    • Any subject other than the 4 (subject with highest marks will be considered)
  6. Must be within the top 20 percentile of successful candidates in their respective boards.
  7. The aggregate marks mean total marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, a language, and any other subject.
  8. Admission in IITs: The candidate should have not been admitted to IIT irrespective of whether they continued the course. OR the candidate accepted an IIT seat by reporting at a centre before. Those candidates whose admission at any IIT was cancelled after joining IIT are also not eligible for appearing in JEE Advanced 2021.
