Maharashtra NEET Merit List 2025 – Tie Breaking criteria
It often occurs that two or more candidates secure the same score, and it creates a bit of hassle for the counseling conducting authority to facilitate the admission procedures. To make things easier, DMER has come up with a plan of action.
- Higher marks in Biology – In case of a tie break scenario, candidates with higher test scores in Biology are preferred and placed higher in the Maharashtra MBBS merit list.
- Higher marks in Chemistry – If the tie still continues, then the Candidate with a higher test score in Chemistry is preferred.
- Lesser negative marking – If the tie still remains, candidates with a lower number of wrong answers are considered.
- Age – If nothing works, the older candidate is placed higher on the rank list.
