Vel Tech Dr RR and Dr SR Technical University Engineering Entrance Examination is commonly known as VTUEEE. Important Dates of VTUEEE 2018

The dates for the activities of Phase I and II of VTUEEEE 2018 has been released by the official authority. Two Phases of exams is conducted for admission to B.Tech programme in the university. Any aspirants who have missed the chance to apply in Phase I, they can apply for Phase II. The date of both the Phases are provided in the table below:

Counselling of VTUEEE 2018

VTUEEE 2018 Counselling for B.Tech Phase I has been released. Visit the link “VTUEEE 2018 Counselling” to check the counselling dates and venue. Admit Card/Hall Ticket of VTUEEE 2018 has been published online at the official website of VTU. The applicants must visit the official website of VTU regularly for updates related to admit card. The candidates who have registered whether in the online or offline mode for VTUEEE Exam 2018 must download the admit card online by entering the required details. The mode of examination and exam centre opted during application form filling will be mentioned on the admit card along with the other details. Applicants must download and take the printout of the same and carry it on the exam day to the examination hall.

Eligibility Criteria for VTUEEE 2018

The aspirants of VTUEEE 2018 need to possess certain eligibility criteria to appear in the examination. If any applicant possesses certain special eligibility conditions, then they can apply for direct admission to Vellore Technology University. Both the eligibility conditions are provided in the form of the table below. Applicants are instructed to go through the eligibility criteria at least once before going to fill up the application form.

Eligibility Criteria for Direct Admission. The candidates who acquire the below-mentioned criteria do not need to attend the examination. They can apply directly for admission into the B. Tech programme.

1. Academic Qualification In addition to the Government norms, candidates who seek admission to B.Tech Degree Programmes should have either completed or appearing for, any one of the following examinations as on March 2018:

  • 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination conducted by any State Board, Central Board of higher Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi); The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE, New Delhi); National Institute of Open Schooling; Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board / University; High School Certificate Examination of the University of Cambridge or equivalent.

Eligibility Criteria required to Apply and Attend the VTUEEE 2018 Exam

1. Academic Qualification Candidates must pass class 12 or its equivalent examination.

Those appearing for 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent examination in March / April / May 2018 can appear for VTUEEE 2018.

For the purpose of consideration for award of the Vel Tech Mahatma Gandhi National Merit Scholarship, the state from which the candidate has studied and appeared for the qualifying examination (12th standard examination of the State or Central Board) will be taken as the state to which the candidate belongs, even though the nativity of the candidate may be another State or Union Territory.

2. Age Limit There is no age limit to apply for VTUEEE 2018 Exam.

VTUEEE 2018 Application Form

The application form for VTUEEE 2018 has been released. The last date to apply for Phase I exam was 15th January 2018 and to apply for Phase II was 8th April 2018. The applicant can apply for the exam in both offline and online mode. Information related to both the procedure has been provided below.

Candidates who are applying for direct admission, follow the below-mentioned steps:

  1. Kindly keep the scanned images of all the documents ready before filling in the application form. Documents required: Colored passport size photograph & candidate’s signature, uploading size is limited to 100 KB.
  2. Go to the official website of VTU https://veltech.edu.in/
  3. Candidates need to register by providing the basic information.
  4. After registering, the candidate needs to fill up the application form.
  5. On successful completion of filling up the form and payment you can download the payment receipt.
  6. Application fee must be paid via Debit card, Credit Card, Net banking or Paytm wallet.
  7. Candidates can block their seat for admission in Vel Tech for a particular course of their choice by paying Rs.24000/-

Candidates who want to apply for VTUEEE 2018 via Online mode, they must follow the below-mentioned steps:

  1. Go to the official website of VTU www.veltech.edu.in
  2. Click on “Apply Now” option.
  3. On the homepage, click on “VTUEEE 2018 Online Application”
  4. Register by entering the required details and click on “submit” option.
  5. Fill in the application form by entering the details like academic qualification and communication address etc
  6. Payment of application fee (Application fee of Rs. 950/- must be paid via online by using the Debit card , Credit Card, Net banking or Paytm wallet.
  7. Submission and printout of application form.

Candidates who want to apply for VTUEEE 2018 via Offline mode, they must follow the below-mentioned steps:

  1. Candidate can send in a requisition letter containing the full address of the applicant and a Demand Draft for Rs.950/- drawn in favour of “Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr.Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology”, payable at Chennai to The Director – UG Admission, 400 feet outer ring Avadi, Chennai.
  2. Candidate can also purchase the application forms from the regional offices of Vel Tech with the cash payment of Rs.950/-.
  3. Fill in the application form with a black ball-point pen and paste a recent passport size photograph on it. Enclose the required documents along with the form and post it two days before the last date of registration.

Exam Centers for VTUEEE 2018

Applicants need to select any one of the below-mentioned exam centre while filling up the application form according to their suitability. VTU Engineering Entrance Exam 2018 will be conducted across many different cities in India. The exam city selected will be mentioned on the admit card based on their preference. Candidates must select the exam centre carefully while filling up the application form because once the form is submitted, the exam centre selected cannot be modified later on.

Result of VTUEEE 2018

The result of VTUEEE 2018 will be declared online at the official website. The result for Phase I will be declared on 15th February 2018 and for Phase II, the result will be declared on 30th April 2018. Candidates who attended the exam in online and offline mode can view and download the result. No hard copy of result will be sent to the candidates by post. Applicants can access the result by entering their application number and password.

Cut-off of VTUEEE 2018

Candidates must obtain marks equal to or more than cut-off in order to qualify the examination. The cut-off is the minimum qualifying marks required to obtain by the candidates in order to become eligible for the subsequent round.  The official authority will release the cut-off after few days after result declaration. Applicants can view the cut-off mark online at the official website of VTU.

Seat Allotment For VTUEEE 2018

All the shortlisted candidates will be allotted seats based on their marks and choice of course. Candidates who have been allotted seats, they must report to the Institute and also have to pay the academic fee in order to confirm their seats. They should not wait until the last minute and visit the allotted Institute in person within stipulated date and time.
