Amidst of Coronavirus break across the globe, Vel Tech has extended the application form process till 31st July. Earlier the Vellore Institute of Technology has released the application form on 27th September 2019. It conducts the common entrance test for its campuses in Vellore, Chennai, AP, and Bhopal and is usually known as VITEEE.

VITEEE Eligibility Criteria 2020
In order to fill the form, candidates have to fulfill certain eligibility criteria. There are many factors that play a role in determining the VITEEE 2020 eligibility. Those factors are:

VITEEE Application Form 2020
Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has released the VITEEE Application Form 2020 on 27th September 2019 and candidates will have the provision to apply both online and offline mode. One can apply online by visiting the vit.ac.in site.
Online Candidates can also apply online at www.vit.ac.in through the following mode:
- Net banking/ Credit card/ Debit card / Paytm for 1150/-
The online applicants need not send the hard copy of the application form to the Institute.
Offline Application Form: VIT offline form is generally OMR based. It can be obtained against cash payment of 1200/- from the various post offices as given in the VIT website. Upon the payment, candidates receive the prospectus and the information brochure for the B. Tech programme, along with the necessary enclosures which include the Application Form and a printed self-addressed envelope.
By producing the Demand Draft for Rs. 1200/- in favor of ‘Vellore Institute of Technology’, candidates can also obtain the application form in person from VIT

VITEEE New Exam Pattern
VITEEE 2020 will be held online i.e. computer-based standardized tests. Candidates who are going to be appearing in the VITEEE 2020 can expect two different papers.
- Physics, Chemistry, English, Aptitude, and Mathematics.
- Physics, Chemistry, English, Aptitude, and Biology.
So as per the preference of the courses candidates have to appear in either of the exams, given they clear the eligibility criteria.

- English will consist of 5 questions
- There will be a total of 125 questions.

VITEEE Slot Booking 2020
All the candidates who want to appear for the VITEEE 2020 will have to book a slot for the exam. The VITEEE slot booking 2020 will be conducted through VIT OTBS (Online test booking system). VIT Engineering Entrance Examination 2020 will have the 3 slots. The candidate can choose the slot according to his/ her preference. Institute will provide the link of VITEEE slot booking to the candidates. In order to book the slot, the candidates have to follow certain steps
- Candidates have to enter their application number and password.
- Select the date, time and confirm the test city as filled in the application form
- If the slot is booked once, candidates cannot change it. So be careful while filling the slot.
- If candidates fail to book the slot within the prescribed time then as per the availability of the slot, it will automatically be booked.
The candidate must quickly book a slot for the exam as slots will be booked on the basis of first come first serve.
VITEEE Admit Card 2020
VIT will issue the VITEEE Admit Card 2020 for the candidates. Admit cards will be available online thus don’t seek it personally. Institute will provide the hall tickets to the candidates who will successfully enroll themselves for the VITEEE 2020. Multiple information available in the hall ticket are:
- Name of the candidate
- Roll No.
- Photograph of the students
- Exam Venue
- Shift, Timings, etc
Candidates will have to download the VITEEE Admit Card from the official website of VIT using their VITEEE Login 2020. The Admit Card will only be generated when the candidate enters their slot preferences. Candidates need to make sure that the Admit Card is out of error and discrepancy. Take the print of the card for further reference. No digital form of admit card is allowed in the examination hall.
VITEEE Cut Off
The cut-off marks of VITEEE will be the minimum marks that a candidate has to score in order to qualify for the examination. Such candidates who will not score marks either more or equal to the VITEEE Cutoff Marks then he /she will be out from the admission process. So, it is necessary to have the qualifying marks in the examination. Candidates who will apply for the exam should refer to the VITEEE previous year cut off marks to have an idea of the marks required to pass the examination. VITEEE category wise cutoff will vary from category to category.
VITEEE Result 2020
The result of VITEEE 2020 will release in online mode. Candidates will be able to view the VITEEE result 2020 in an online mode on the official website. The result of each candidate will reflect the score in VITEEE 2020, the overall score and rank obtained. The rank of each candidate will also be sent to the registered number through SMS. In order to view the VITEEE 2020 results, candidates must enter:
- VITEEE application number
- Date of Birth and
- verification code
Once the result is out VIT will release the merit list as per the performance of the candidates. The merit list holder will be called for the counselling procedure.
VITEEE Counselling 2020
The merit list holder will be called for VITEEE 2020 Counselling The selected candidates will have to submit a DD of 50,000 /- in favor of ‘Vellore Institute of Technology’, payable at Vellore, on the confirmation of seat and acceptance of branch allotted. The counselling processing fee is 11,800/- which is included in the 50,000. Counselling fee is non-refundable but will be adjusted in the tuition fees once the candidate joins the Institute.
The counselling for allocation of branches to the shortlisted candidates is based on their All India Rank (AIR) in VITEEE 2020. A candidate may obtain this information on the VIT website or by calling the VIT office, a day after the declaration of the results of VITEEE 2020. Candidates are also required to submit documents at the time of counselling process and if in case, the candidates fail to bring any documents, then he/ she will have to bring forth an undertaking for claiming the absence of the same.
VITEEE 2020 Scholarship
Toppers of each State Board and Central Board will get a 100% Tuition fee waiver for all the four years. VITEEE rank holders of 1 to 50 will get a 75% Tuition fee waiver for all the four years. The VITEEE rank holders of 51 to 100 will get a 50% Tuition fee waiver for all the four years. VITEEE rank holders of 101 to 1000 will get a 25% Tuition fee waiver. So as per the rank, the scholarship is provided to the students.
