TISSNET 2020: Tata Institute of Social Sciences conducts TISSNET also known as Tata Institute of Social Sciences National Eligibility Test to enrol students in postgraduate programs. The TISSNET exam is officially held in a CBT(Computer Based Test) mode. It offers students admission to 55 postgraduate courses. TISS has a total of 5 centres in India at Guwahati, Chennai, Hyderabad, Tuljapur and Mumbai. It is a public-funded research university in Mumbai. TISS Mumbai is the official campus of TISS. The institute is positioned at 49th rank by National Institutional Ranking Framework. It ranks at 32nd rank among universities in India. The institute will conduct TISSNET on 12th January 2020.

Eligibility Criteria For TISSNET 2020
Candidates should check the eligibility criteria before appearing for TISSNET. Below we have provided all the details of the eligibility criteria for TISSNET 2020:
- Candidate should possess a minimum of 3 year’s bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Candidates who are in their final year of graduation are eligible to take the test.
- Candidates who are in their final year of graduation but haven’t passed in the previous years’ paper are not eligible to appear for TISSNET 2020.
- If the candidate who is pursuing his/her bachelors and having a provisional admission to TISS, fails in his final year paper, he will be deemed disqualified.
- There are no criteria of age limit or the number of attempts.
Eligibility Criteria For Foreign students
Foreign candidates should check the eligibility criteria set for them before applying for admission to TISS. Below we have mentioned the eligibility criteria for foreign students:
- International students should have a minimum of 50% marks or GPA in their undergraduate/bachelors degree to be eligible to apply.
- International students can only apply to a maximum of 2 programs across campuses.
- Candidates who have studied from a non-English speaking country are required to have proof of proficiency in the English language.
- Only those candidates are eligible who have qualified from foreign universities which are recognized as equivalent to Association of Indian Universities(AIU).
- International students applying to masters in human resource management and labour studies program are required to have a GMAT score of 610 or above to be eligible
TISSNET Application Form 2020
Candidates aspiring to take admission in TISS must fill the application form online. The registration process remains open for more than a month before the exam is conducted. The application form of TISSNET 2020 will be out by October 2020. Candidates can then fill the form latest by the 2nd week of December 2020. They must fill it within the first few weeks of the opening of the registration process. The application form is available online only on the university’s official website. Candidates can apply to a maximum of 3 courses across any 2 TISS campuses and other centre locations. TISS has advised students to check the eligibility criteria properly before filling the TISSNET application form 2020.

TISSNET Admit Card 2020
TISS will release its admit card in the 4th week of December 2020. Candidates can download the admit card by visiting the official website of the university. It should be noted that no hardcopy of the admit card will be sent to the candidate. The admit card can be accessed by candidates till the date of TISSNET 2020, that is, 12th January. Candidates will not be allowed entry to the allotted examination centre without their admit card. They should bring at least 2 printed hardcopies of TISSNET 2020 Admit Card to the examination centre. Candidates should check and verify the details mentioned on their admit card. If they find any discrepancy in the credentials, they should furthermore, contact the TISS office, via email or over the phone.
TISSNET Answer Key 2020
The answer key of TISSNET will be released by Tata Institute of Social Sciences. The answer key of TISS 2020 will contain the correct answer to the questions asked from different sections in the examination. Thus candidates can estimate their result. Also, they can conclude the possibility of their admission to the university. The answer key will be available online, on the university’s website. Candidates can log in and download the pdf of the TISSNET answer key. TISS releases its answer key before declaring the result. Since TISSNET is a single session exam, so the university will release the answer key for all the 100 TISSNET questions. Therefore, TISSNET answer key will be available to students in the last week of January 2020.
TISSNET Cut Off 2020
Cut off is the minimum marks a candidate has to score in order to get admission in the university. The cut off of TISSNET varies for different programs. The TISSNET 2020 cut off of MA Program in HR and other streams will likely remain high. TISS enrols candidates for admission by evaluating their overall and sectional scores acquired in TISSNET. The TISSNET result will be declared on the 4th of January, during the evening. Then candidates can access the cut off by visiting the official website of the university. Candidate can study the previous years’ cut off to evaluate their chances of meeting this year’s cut off. Therefore, those who will not meet this year’s cut off will not be able to eligible for further rounds.
TISSNET Result 2020
TISSNET result will be released in the 4th week of January 2020. It will be released during the evening for admission to MA Programs at the university’s 4 campuses. Candidates can access the result by visiting the official website of the university. They will need to log in by filling in their registered email id and password to access the result. The result will be available in the form of a scorecard. Then based on the result of TISSNET 2020, only shortlisted candidates will be eligible to appear for the Pre Interview Test and Personal Interview(PIT/PI). The final list of the selected candidates will, therefore, be released in April/May 2020.
TISSNET Selection Procedure 2020
Candidates must follow the three-step process in order to get admission. The process of admission and cut off varies for different programs. Candidates have to appear for the TISSNET exam. The candidates are shortlisted based on their overall and sectional scores. Therefore the university calls only selected candidates. They are further called for Pre Interview Test and Personal Interview. The qualifying candidates will have their name in the merit list. In the final selection procedure, the merit list is prepared for general and reserved categories. The list is based on the candidates’ performance in the three-round. They are, TISSNET, Pre Interview Test, GD and Personal Interview. In case there is a tie between two candidates, then the one higher in age is granted admission.
