The Sitaram Jindal Scholarship is a year-round scholarship. Therefore, the candidates can apply for this scholarship throughout the year, as the applications are available at any time of the year. However, they must apply only once throughout the course of the scholarship.

Sitaram Jindal Scholarship 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Sitaram Jindal Scholarship 2025 Eligibility Criteria is different for different categories. To get the scholarship amount, the applicants need to meet the required eligibility criteria mentioned below. Check the Jindal scholarship category, level, and corresponding eligibility criteria below carefully.

Category A
Scholarship provided toThe Class 11th and Class 12th students studying in the government or government-aided colleges/institutions are eligible for this category of the scholarship.
Eligibility CriteriaThe applicant should have a minimum aggregate of –

Boys – 65% || Girls – 60%

The applicant belonging to the Karnataka and West Bengal should have a minimum aggregate of –

Boys – 75% || Girls – 70%

Category B
Scholarship provided toThis category of scholarship is intended for the ITI students who are studying in government colleges/institutions or government-aided colleges/ institutions. Those students who are studying in private ITI colleges/ institutions are also eligible for the scholarship.
Eligibility CriteriaFor the private ITI colleges/institutions –

Boys – They should have a minimum score of 50% marks to become eligible for this scholarship.

Girls – They should have a minimum score of 40% marks to become eligible for this scholarship.

For the government or the government-aided ITI colleges/institutions – The applicant should have secured the pass marks.

Category C
Scholarship provided toThis category of the scholarship is meant for the students pursuing Bachelors in the following streams –

Popular Bachelor courses like B. Com, BBA, BBM, BFA, B. Sc in Agriculture, Bachelor in Finance/ Economics.

If the student is enrolled in the integrated programs, then the scholarship can be availed by the student for the first 3 years of the course under this category of the scholarship.

Hospitality related courses like Hotel management

Forensic Science

Microbiology

Social Work

Environment-related courses like Environment Scientist, Environment Journalist, and Environment Engineer.

Eligibility CriteriaStudents belonging to the following categories are eligible for this scholarship –

General Category – Boys and girls.

Physically disabled students

Widows and wards (unmarried) of the Ex-servicemen

Minimum Qualifying Marks

The male applicants should have a minimum aggregate score of 65% marks.

The female applicants should have a minimum aggregate score of 60% marks.

For applicants from Karnataka and West Bengal –

Scholarship provided toThis category of the scholarship is meant for students pursuing Diploma in the following fields of Engineering, Environment, and the Medical Science –

Popular courses of Diploma Engineering like Computer Science Engineering, Chemical, Civil engineering, Metallurgy Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Electricals & Mechanical engineering Machine Tool engineering, and Electronic engineering.

Popular courses of Diploma in Environment like Environment Engineering, Environment Scientist, and Environment Journalist.

Professional courses of Diploma in Medicine like Pharmacy, Nursing and Physiotherapy.

Eligibility CriteriaThe male applicants should have a minimum aggregate score of 60% marks.

The female applicants should have a minimum aggregate score of 55% marks.

Category E
Scholarship provided toThis category of the scholarship is meant for students pursuing Bachelors and Post Graduation in any field of Engineering and Medical Science.

Engineering field includes B. Architecture course, and the Medical field includes Ayurveda, Homeopathy, and Naturopathy besides M.B.B.S or BDS.

However, MDS is not included under this category of the scholarship.

Eligibility CriteriaThe male applicants should have a minimum aggregate score of 70% marks to avail the benefits of the scholarship either on the Bachelor or the Post-graduation level.

The female applicants should have a minimum aggregate score of 65% marks to avail the benefits of the scholarship either on the Bachelor or the Post-graduation level.

For the Karnataka and West Bengal students –

The male applicants should have a minimum aggregate score of 75% marks to avail the benefits of the scholarship either on the Bachelor or the Post-graduation level.

The female applicants should have a minimum aggregate score of 70% marks to avail the benefits of the scholarship either on the Bachelor or the Post-graduation level.

PhD Courses
Scholarship provided toThis category of the scholarship is meant for the students pursuing Post graduation in the following streams –

Popular Post-graduation courses like M. Com, MBA, MBM, MFA, M. Sc in Agriculture, Masters in Finance/ Economics.

If the student is enrolled in the integrated programmes, then the scholarship can be availed by the student for the 2 years of the course under this category of the scholarship.

Under the Jindal Scholarship Scheme, Scholars will be awarded scholarship amount based on their category and eligibility.

5.EOn the Bachelor level –

The male applicants get ₹1300 on a monthly basis.

The female applicants get ₹1500 on a monthly basis.

On the Post-graduation level –

The male applicants get ₹1800 on a monthly basis.

The female applicants get ₹2000 on a monthly basis.

6.PhD CoursesFor the General Category applicants –

The male applicants get ₹800 on a monthly basis.

The female applicants get ₹1000 on a monthly basis.

For the PwD Category of applicants –

Both male and female applicants get ₹1000 on a monthly basis.

For the Widows and Wards (Unmarried) of the Ex-servicemen –

Both male and female applicants get ₹1200 on a monthly basis.

Those students who are staying in the hostel to complete their studies receive an additional amount of –

  • For students pursuing ITI/ General Bachelor’s or PG courses – ₹500 on the monthly basis.
  • For students pursuing technical/ professional courses like Engineering and Medical – ₹ 1000 on the monthly basis.

How to Apply For Sitaram Jindal Scholarship 2025

Interested and eligible students can apply for this Jindal scholarship during any time of the year. There is no fixed last date to apply for the Jindal scholarship application form. The procedure for applying for this scholarship is the offline mode. Eligible student’s need to download the application form and take the printout of it. Enter all the details by the blue/black ballpoint pen. Make sure all the details entered are correct.
