JEE Advanced Counselling 2018: JEE Advanced is a National Level Examination organised by the IITs on rotational basis. The JEE Advanced Counselling will start from last week from June. Candidates who will qualify the Entrance Examination will have to register themselves for the registration process. The Counselling will be held in the online mode. The JEE Advanced counselling and seat Allotment Process will be comprised of seven rounds. The JEE Advanced Counselling process consists of the steps like Registration, Choice Filling, Locking, Allotment of seats, reporting, and getting provisional admission in the colleges and institutes. Activities related to the JEE Advanced 2018 counselling process will be looked after by the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority).

Eligibility Conditions for JEE Advanced Counselling
Candidates who want to register themselves for the JEE Advanced 2018 Counselling should know that there are some conditions which the participants need to fulfill.
- Candidates should fulfill the cut off marks set by the authorities of JEE Advanced 2018
- Candidates are required to obtain at least 75% marks in the 12th Standared.
- Those belonging to the SC/ST or PwD category should score 65%
JEE Advanced Counselling Procedure 2018
The JEE Advanced Counselling procedure will be held online and it will consist of some steps that candidates are expected to follow. Eligible candidates should register themselves before the last date gets over.
Registration for JEE Advanced Counselling 2018:
The first step is registration of the candidates. They have to enter the details like state code of eligibility, Registration number as mentioned in the JEE Advanced Admit Card, Roll Number, Date of Birth,, Gender, and Nationality. The candidates then have to set a password of minimum 8 characters and save it. There will be no fees charged for the registration and choice filling. Candidates should note the user Id and Password as it will be needed in the future for logging in.
Choice Filling and Locking during JEE Advanced Counselling:
After the successful registration the candidates, the candidates log in using their registration number and Password. They have to fill up with the maximum choices as per their choice and preferences for the seat allotment. After giving their vote on their preferences, they have to lock the choices. If in case candidates forget to lock the choices, then automatically the last choices will be locked.
JEE Advanced Seat Allotment:
The candidates who will be accepted and allotted seats will be able to download their provisional letter and eChlallan. The candidates have to log in entering their registration number and password to know their status. After every counselling round, the candidates should check the seat allotment result. The eChallan will be later used for the payment of the acceptance fee.
Candidates have to pay a seat acceptance fee in this round. The General category candidates will have to pay 45,000 as their seta acceptance fee and the reserved category candidate have to pay 20,000 as their acceptance fee. The fee can be paid by the online means such as the Net Banking, Credit/Debit Card. The payment receipt should be printed and kept it safe by the candidates.
Reporting to the Allotted Centre:
Candidates will have to report to the colleges after their seat is confirmed. Candidates will be given a schedule for the appointment. Reporting on the scheduled date and time to the allotted situation is a must.
Documents Required for JEE Advanced Counselling
Candidates have to carry the following documents in original along with one attested copy of each during the physical verification for taking provisional admission:
- Provisional Seat Allotment Letter
- 12 Standard Marksheet
- Seat Acceptance payment proof
- Undertaking by the candidate
- Photo Id Card issued by Government like Ration Card, Aadhar Card, passport.
- JEE Advanced Admit Card
- Birth Certificate
- Medical Certificate
- Pwd certificate issued by Medical
- Registration cum Lock choices for seat allotment
- 2 Passport size recent photograph
- Passport of the Candidate and parents for foreign nationals along with OCI or PIO card.
