The GNM counselling will take place in ONLINE mode. It is important to score minimum aggregate marks to be eligible for counselling. The Merit List is made available in two different ways- Overall Merit List- which includes all the category candidates and the other is Category-Wise Merit List which includes only that particular category merit list. Further, candidates taking part in CG Nursing Counselling should be well acquainted with counselling schedule. As then, no important event is missed.

The Procedure of Chattisgarh GNM Online Counselling
In the Online Counselling Process of General Nursing and Midwifery, candidates have to visit the official website of the Directorate of Medical Education, Chattisgarh that conducts the counselling. After that, the candidates have to follow the following steps to complete the process of online counselling –
- Visit the Official Website of the Directorate of Medical Education, Chattisgarh. – www.cgdme.in
- Now, on the Homepage Section, click on the Counselling Link.
- After that, you are redirected to a new page.
- If you are a new register, then click on the “New Register” link option
- Enter your basic details – such as Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, E-mail ID, etc.
- After successful registration, the Registration ID and Password are sent.
- Now login using the credentials, enter your choice of course subject and college you want to apply.
- Lock Your College Choices and submit your form.
Then, the candidates have to pay the counselling fees as mentioned in the prospectus. They need to click on the option of “Pay counselling Fees” for Chattisgarh GNM 2025 Counselling.

Detailed Description of the Chattisgarh Online GNM Counselling Procedure
Candidates participating in the CG General Nursing and Midwifery Counselling should have complete knowledge of the procedure. As then a candidate can easily go through the process and get a seat in the preferred medical college. Furthermore, the complete procedure is explained below in brief.
Registration
Visit the Official Website of the Directorate of Medical Education, Chattisgarh GNM. Now click on the counselling link. This link is for the registration process. So, if you are a new user, click on the “New Registration” link and enter the required details such as the Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, and other details. When the registration is successful, you receive a Registration ID and Password. Save these login credentials for the future.
Choice Filling and Locking
Once, you are done with the registration process, log in using the credentials that you have received at the time of registration. In the Choice Filling and Locking Process, you get a list of all the colleges and institutes that are under the Chattisgarh GNM Nursing 2025. Select the colleges and courses as per your choices and preferences. You can select the list of the colleges as per the priority. Once you lock the choices, this states that you have confirmed your choice. Once the choices are locked, you cannot modify them again. So, make the choices of the colleges wisely.
Online Payment of the Counselling Form
After making the choices of the colleges and institutes, proceed to make the payment. The counselling fees are non-refundable and are applicable to all categories. The mode of the payment is online through Internet Banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card.

After making the payment of the application form, now click on the submit option to finish the Chattisgarh GNM Nursing Counselling Form. Download and take the printout of the counselling form for future reference.

Chattisgarh GNM Nursing Merit List
The candidates can download this list from the official website of the Chattisgarh medical council. CG Nursing 2025 Merit List indicates the names of selected candidates. It is prepared in accordance with the candidate’s performance in the 12th standard. Further, only the merit list students shall be eligible for the further admission procedure. This list is made available online in PDF format. Candidates can look for their names on this list to confirm whether they are eligible for admission or not. Tie-Breaking Criteria in GNM Counselling 2025
If two or a number of candidates have the same number of marks, then the tie-breaking criteria are applied. The Tie-Breaking Criteria comprises of the following-
- Applicants with higher marks in Biology get a Higher Rank.
- If the tie still exists, then the candidate with less number of wrong answers gets a higher rank.
- Even after that, the tie still exists, then the candidate older in age gets a Higher Rank.
- If the tie still persists, then the applicant with more marks in aggregate receives a Higher Rank.

Different Rounds in Chattisgarh GNM Counselling 2025
The Chattisgarh General Nursing and Midwifery Counselling take place in three-round including an Open Round. In the First Round of Counselling, the top rankers are eligible to participate. After the completion of the allotment of the seats, the second round of counselling starts. If in case, a candidate has not been allotted a seat in the first round, then he/ she can appear in the Second Round of GNM Counselling 2025.
Later, the same process goes for the Third Round of Counselling as well. But, even after all the counselling process, the seats remain vacant, then an Open Round Counselling takes place. In this process, candidates who did not get a seat in the previous counselling rounds shall be eligible to participate.
