About Anna University TANCET 2025 Exam and Pattern

  • Anna University is responsible for conducting the TANCET Exam 2025.
  • This exam offers admission to Postgraduate Courses such as MBA/MCA.M.Tech, etc.
  • This is an Offline Examination.
  • A total of 100 questions will be available with a time duration of 120 minutes.
  • Each correct question carries 1 mark. A negative marking of 1/5 is applicable for every wrong answer.

TANCET M.E/M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan Syllabus 2025

The Question Paper pattern of M.E/M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan is the same. However, the Question Paper is divided into three parts.

  • Part I of the Question Paper will have 20 questions, based on the subject of Engineering Mathematics. This section is the same for all the subjects.
  • The Part II Section comprises of 35 questions based on the subject Basic Engineering and Sciences. This is also the same for the other 4 subjects.
  • The Final Part of Part III comprises of 60 questions. This question will be based on the subject chosen by the candidate. There are 23 subjects available in this section, from which the candidate can choose anyone.
  • Multiple-Choice Questions. Each question carries 1 mark. There is a negative marking of 1/3 marks for every incorrect answer.
  • Total Time Duration of the exam is 2 Hours.
