VITEEE Counselling 2020: VIT conducts the engineering entrance exam termed as VITEEE for the selection of the students in its campuses like Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal, and Amaravati. VIT has commenced the counselling procedure after the release of VITEEE Result 2020. The students who will clear the VITEEE 2020 Examination, are eligible for the counselling procedure. Seat allotment is on the basis of the performance of the students and the rank secured by them.

B. Tech. counselling starts on August 10 and is completely online. The counselling will be held in four phases and students will be called for it as per their ranks. The schedule is for counselling is:
- Rank 1 to 20,000 – August 10th & 11th, 2020
- Rank 20001 to 60000 – August 14th & 15th, 2020
- Rank 60001 to 1 lakh –August 18th & 19th, 2020
- Ranks above 1 lakh – August 22nd & 23rd, 2020
The online VIT 2020 counselling will be accessible by students through their login credentials which have already been mailed to their registered emails. A registration fee of Rs. 5000 has to be paid to participate in the B.Tech counselling.
How to Apply for VITEEE Counselling 2020?
In order to appear for the VIT Counselling, candidates have to follow certain procedures. Those steps are:
Step 1: Registration
Students have to get themselves registered by visiting the couselling venue. Schedule and venue will be based on the rank scored by the candidates. So the candidates have the preference to chose the campus and branch as per their rank. Thus as per the seat availability and rank hold by candidates, seat allotment is done. But first of all, students have to register themselves in person as a counselling procedure is held offline.
Step 2: Document Verification
Candidates have to verify the document on the respective campuses after the registration is over. Candidates must ensure that the document that they contain must be original and valid. Any kind of forgery will lead to the rejection of the admission process. So candidates much check the documents and make sure that they are valid and correct.
Note: After the document verification candidates have to wait until the University does not declare the seat allotment.
Step 3: Seat Allotment
There are various factors which play a role in the seat allotment procedure. Those factors are Rank, Category, Seat Availability, Score of Candidates, Order of preference. Keeping these factors in mind the University provides the seat to the candidates.
Step 4: Student Profile and Uploading Image
Once the seat is allotted to the students, they have to login in their account. After login students have to upload the scanned photograph and signature. The image of both the photograph and signature must be clear and visible. The photograph must be a recent one.
Step 5: Fee Payment
In order to confirm the seat allotted by the University, candidates have to make the payment of the fee within a limited period of time. They will have to submit a DD (Demand Draft) for Rs 50,000 /- in favour of ‘Vellore Institute of Technology’, payable at Vellore. Out of Rs 50,000, Rs 11,800 will be the counselling fee which is non-refundable.
Step 6: Hostel Payment
If someone seeks the hostel in the selected campus then they have to submit a separate Demand Draft for Rs 21,000/-. Out of Rs 21,000, 1200/- is for hostel admission processing fee which is non-refundable. Draw the DD in favour of ‘Vellore Institute of Technology’, payable at Vellore.
