Tie-Breaking Criteria of JIPMER B.Sc Result 2025

If more than two candidates score the same number of marks then the Institute applies the Tie-Breaking Method. The main reason for using the Tie-Breaking method is to offer a balanced way of marking and providing a rank to the deserving candidate. The Rank on the Merit List is provided to the applicant based on the following order-

• Candidates scoring more marks in Biology gets a higher rank.
• If the tie does not break, then the candidate with more marks in Chemistry gets a higher rank.
• If the tie still exists, then the Physics scores are considered to a higher ranking.
• Now, if the tie still exists, then marks of English Language and Comprehension are taken into consideration to get more marks.
• If the tie still exists, then the percentile of Logical and Reasoning are considered for the ranking.
• If still, the tie exists, then the applicant older in age is ranked higher in the merit list.

JIPMER B.Sc Nursing Counselling

JIPMER Counselling is the last round of the admission process. It is basically conducted for document verification. Candidates whose names appear on the Merit List are eligible to appear for the counselling round. The Counselling takes place offline that means the candidate must be available in person. There are a total of three rounds of counselling. At the time of the counseling round, you have to submit relevant documents in original and self-attested photocopies. Further, make sure that you reach the venue on time. Candidates’ should also ensure that they have all the documents before leaving their house.
