The students who will be applying for the INSPIRE Scholarship Program will have to keep themselves updated with the latest release of the notification regarding the Scholarship 2025 Scheme. INSPIRE Scholarship 2025 – Awards

Applicants selected under the scheme SHE gets a scholarship amount of INR 80,000 per annum and many other benefits for the study of Science and Technology and pursues research. Follow the table below to know the scholarship amount/stipend distribution.

INSPIRE Scholarship (SHE) Eligibility Criteria 2025

This scheme offers 12,000 INSPIRE scholarships every year @ Rs.80,000/- each for undertaking Bachelor and Masters level education in the Natural & Basic sciences, possessing any of the following criteria:

1.The applicant must be within the age group of 17-22 years. Students who happen to be among the top 1% in 12th standard at their respective Board Examinations and are pursuing courses in Natural and Basic Sciences at the B.Sc. or Integrated M.Sc. levels. Courses are not included other than Natural and Basic sciences in the current scheme in view of the focus on research in Basic Sciences.
2.Students who have secured in the Joint Entrance Examination of JEE-Advance top 10,000 ranks, JEE-Main (top 10,000 ranks) plus those clearing NEET (top 10,000 ranks), and who also opt to study Natural and Basic sciences in any academic institute or university leading to graduate and post-graduate degree, would be eligible for the scholarship.
3.Students fulfilling the criterion [A] and admitted to Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Basic Sciences (DAE-CBS) at the University of Mumbai or happen to be Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY), National Talent Search Examination (NTSE), Jagadish Bose National Science Talent Search (JBNSTS) scholars and Science Olympiad Medalists, opting to undertake courses in the Natural & Basic sciences leading to B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees are eligible for “SHE” scholarship.

INSPIRE Fellowship 2025 Application Procedure

The candidates planning on applying for INSPIRE 2025 Scholarship will have to fill up the application form and submit it before the last date. The availability of the Application form will be in an online mode and the submission of the Application Form is an important part of applying for the Scholarship Programme. However, candidates must make sure that they fit the INSPIRE Scholarship Eligibility Criteria before applying. The applicant will have to keep visiting the website on a regular basis so as not to miss any of the important dates and events. The authorities will also be releasing the Information Brochure along with the Application Form of INSPIRE Scholarship 2025, it is advised that the candidate must go through the brochure very carefully so as to avoid any form of error while filling up the registration form. The form will be available per the date as mentioned in the admission schedule.

The INSPIRE Scholarship Application Form will have to be provided with the Personal Details, Academic Details, and upload the documents as per the specifications provided in the Information Brochure. The candidate will have to provide the correct and valid details in the Application Form as the information will be cross-checked by the authorities responsible for the issuance of the INSPIRE Scholarship 2025. In case if any of the discrepancies are found in the form, the candidate will not be eligible for accessing the scholarship. Steps To Apply For INSPIRE Scholarship Application Form 2025

  •  At first, the applicant must register as a new user on the INSPIRE Scholarship 2025 Portal. We will post the link above.
  • NOTE: If The Registration Link is not working, then the candidate must try accessing the website from another browser (Mozilla Firefox). If one does not have Mozilla Firefox installed, then they must change the browser language to en-US.
  • Then the applicant must enter his/her name, gender, date of birth, email, password, eligibility criteria, and verification code for successful registration.

INSPIRE Scholarship Registration

 

  • The candidate receives a user ID and password on their registered email ID where he/she needs to click on the activation link to activate his/her account.
  • The applicant must keep the scanned copies of all the required documents as separate files before filling the application form.
  • The applicant must log in to the INSPIRE scholarship portal using his/her username and password.
  • Now, the candidate must fill in all the details like personal particulars, enrolment information at B.Sc. and Integrated M.Sc. level, senior secondary performance information, national level competitive exam details, contact details, and other details in the scholarship application form.
  • Also, the applicant needs to upload the scanned images of all the necessary documents in support of the INSPIRE online scholarship application form.
  • The applicant needs to review the entered details before the submission of the form by pressing the ‘Print Preview button. He/She must make sure that all the details and uploaded documents are correct. Now, the applicant needs to click on the ‘Submit’ button to submit the application.
  •  After the final submission of the INSPIRE online scholarship application form, the candidate must take the printout of the submitted application for future reference.

INSPIRE Scholarship 2025 Selection Process/Cut Off

After receiving all the applications from the eligible candidates, the official authority scrutinizes the same. On the basis of specified eligibility criteria, a cut-off list of shortlisted candidates is prepared. The cut off list of the shortlisted scholars is displayed on the online portal of INSPIRE. The link to download the list will be provided here.

Applicants whose name are mentioned on the INSPIRE Scholarship cut off list must download the provisional offer letter. They must visit the official website and login with the ID and Password to download the same. The shortlisted candidates also need to upload the necessary documents on their web portal within the specified timeline for further consideration. The selected candidates receive their scholarship awards directly into their State Bank of India (SBI) bank account through DBT (Direct Bank Transfer).

INSPIRE Scholarship Renewal 2025

The eligibility criteria is an important part of applying for the Scholarship programme. Candidates who will not be able to fulfill the mentioned eligibility criteria, will not be eligible for the renewal of the Scholarship. The criteria will be cross-checked at the time of the application acceptance. The eligibility for the renewal of INSPIRE Scholarship will be mentioned in the Information Brochure of INSPIRE Scholarship 2025 and it must be noted that it will vary as per the form of the Scholarship for which the candidate will be applying for.

2.If the candidate fails to secure the required marks in his/her B.Sc/BS/Int. M.Sc/Int. MS exam, the scholarship for that academic year will be cancelled. The scholarship is resumed in the next academic year if the student’s academic performance is satisfactory.

Terms & Conditions

There are a few terms & conditions that applicants need to follow in order to apply for this scholarship. Find below the list of terms and conditions that an applicant needs to keep in mind while applying for the INSPIRE SHE scholarship.

2.Candidates must submit a completed application as the incomplete application form is entitled to be rejected.
3.Subjects such as Engineering, Medicine, Military Science, Defence Studies, Agriculture, Psychology, Seed Technology, Anthropology, Home Science, Geography, Economics, Education (including B.Sc.-B.Ed. dual degree course), Biotechnology, Computer Science, Computer Applications, Bio-informatics, Instrumentation, Information Technology, Physical Education, courses in Distance Education mode at the Open Universities and other professional courses are not supported under SHE scholarship.
4.The INSPIRE scholar must open a regular Savings Bank Account in any branch of the State Bank of India (SBI) only. The account must be in the name of the applicant and it should not be a joint account.
5.The shortlisted candidates must submit their year-wise performance report (signed by the Head of the Institution) and mark sheet of their BSc, BS, Int. MSc/MS course for the release of the scholarship. Head of the Institution refers to Vice-Chancellor/Registrar/Dean of Science in case of Universities and Principal/Vice-Principal/Proctor/Officer-in-Charge in case of colleges.
6.The Head of the Institution must clearly mention in the performance report of INSPIRE Scholarship if the scholarship should be continued or not in that academic year.
7.For the first time, the scholarship is released only after the approval of the INSPIRE Scholarship Performance Report and mark sheet of 1st year B.Sc, BS, Int. M.Sc/MS. If the academic performance of the candidate is satisfactory, two years of scholarship, i.e., INR 1,20,000 is released during the candidate’s 2nd year of B.Sc, BS, Int. M.Sc/MS.
8.Candidates availing any other scholarship from other sources are not eligible to receive this scholarship.

Ans: The students should apply for SHE in the same year in which they have passed their class 12 exam and have enrolled themselves in BSc, BS, Int. MSc/MS degrees, in Natural and Basic Sciences.

Under the SHE scholarship programme, the INSPIRE scholars receive INR 20,000 per annum as Mentorship for undertaking Summer research programmes. The timeline of the summer project must be six to eight weeks and it must be clearly mentioned in the project report. Also, the students must keep in mind that the group project is not accepted. The scholars must send the following documents to the DST. An attested letter by the Research Guide where the INSPIRE scholar is enrolled for the summer project
