NEET Medical Seat Allotment 2025 – Highlights

  • The allotment process starts soon after the result declaration.
  • However, to participate in the NEET Admission Counselling, candidates have to appear in the entrance exam.
  • The NEET Seat Allotment take place for admission to 15% AIQ Seats, and 85% seats under the State Quota States.

Latest Update in NTA NEET Seat Allotment Procedure

  • Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the authorities may introduce a few changes in the allotment process.
  • From the year 2020, the AIIMS and JIPMER Exam were scrapped. That means the admission in AIIMS and JIPMER is now done on the basis of NEET Scores.
  • 15 AIIMS Institutes and 2 JIPMER Campus participated in 2020 under MCC, filling 1205 and 200 seats respectively.
  • The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is responsible for conducting the counseling for AIIMS and JIPMER.
  • Moreover, the number of colleges under AIQ has been increased. Hence, the seat intake has also increased. A total of 4591 seats are available under NEET Seat Allotment 2025.
  • Vardhman Mahavir Medical College and Safdarjung Hospital and ESIC, Delhi Colleges are considered under Central University. Hence, the seat allotment process for 15% AIQ and 85% State Quota is done by MCC.

The Procedure of NEET Seat Allotment

The NTA NEET Seat Allotment comes under the Counselling Process of NEET. This is mainly the third stage of the counseling process. After the submission of the college choices, the Authority starts the NEET Seat Allotment Process. However, the allotment of seats is done on the basis of NEET Scores 2025.

NEET Medical Seat Allotment Scheme

After the announcement of the result, candidates have to provide an option to accept and refuse the seat allotment. Check the NEET Seat Allotment 2025 procedure below –

  • If the candidate accepts the seat allotment, then he/ she has to download the Seat Allotment Letter from the official website. To download the NEET Seat Allotment Letter, candidates have to enter their Roll Number, Date of Birth, and Security Pin.
  • In addition, the Admission process of NEET 2025 Seat Allotment is completed within two to three days. Therefore, the applicants have to report to the Institute on the given specific date and time.
  • Then, candidates have to undergo a Medical Examination.
  • After the admission, the allotted college sends details of the candidate to DGHS, and based on these details, the admission is granted.
  • If the candidate rejects the Seat Allotment in the first round and does not want to participate in the further rounds, then he/ she can do a free exit. Here, no refundable fee is deducted.
  • Whereas, after the second round counseling the non-acceptance fee is deducted.
  • Further, if the applicant is not allotted any seat and wishes to participate in the subsequent rounds, then they need to opt for the choices. Such types of candidates can provide their fresh college choices for other rounds. However, after the second round counselling, there are no options to choose from.

Ans: The MCC and DCGHS are responsible for 15% AIQ, 100% Deemed Universities, Central Universities (Delhi Universities, AMU and BHU), ESIC and AFMS and 100% VMMC and SJH (15% AIQ+85% Institutional Quota).
Q. Who is eligible for NEET 15% AIQ Counselling?
Ans: Candidates who have qualified under All India Quota will be on the basis of NEET 2025 except J&K. Eligible candidates have to download the allotment letter from the NTA Website.
