All India Institute of Medical (AIIMS), has released the AIIMS PG 2020 Exam Pattern after the application process completes. The exam will take place on 17th November 2019. The exam pattern will be available to the candidates on this site as well as on their official website. This Exam Pattern is here to provide the candidates with important information about the medium, type of questions asked in the exam, and mode of the question paper. The AIIMS PG Exam Pattern will be conducted in the online mode (computer-based exam). Based on their PG exam score, the candidates will be allotted seats in the MD/MS/MDS courses. AIIMS Post Graduate Examination Pattern
This exam will be an online Computer based Test (CBT). There will be one medium of language and that will be English. Some other important points about the examination pattern are given below-
- Total number of questions asked in the test will be 200 for MS/MD and 90 for MDS.
- It will be an MCQ based exam, which means the questions asked will only be objective. So, Students, it is expected of you all to be familiar with the objective-type questions. They are different than the objective type questions. So make sure that you are practicing enough of them.
- The marking scheme is pretty simple, though there is the rule of negative marking. That is, for every right answer you will be given 1 mark. And for every wrong answer 1/3 mark will be deducted.
- The method of determining the score is percentile.
- Maximum marks for the question paper is 200.
- The total time period for the students to complete the test is 3 hours for MD/MS and 1 hour 30 minutes for MDS.
- Students are strongly advised to go through the syllabus as well while reading about the exam pattern. It will help them in formulating an idea of how to approach the reading material.
