GPAT Admission Procedure 2025

Admission in pharmacy courses is done entirely on the basis of merit. Wherein, only the students who appeared for the NTA GPAT 2025 are eligible for admission. However, just appearing for the exam does not guarantee a seat in pharmacy colleges. After the exam, the authorities release the merit list result. Candidates are ranked in order of merit in this list as per their performance in the entrance test. Further, these merit list students have to appear for the round of counselling. In this admission round, the students have to choose the pharmacy college within which they want to get admission. Moreover, on the basis of students’ rank in the merit list and seat availability, the seat allotment process is carried out. The students further have to join the allotted institute on the given date.

NTA GPAT Tie-Breaking Criteria

The tie-breaking criteria are taken into consideration when two students end up scoring the exact same marks. In such cases, to rank students in the merit list properly and to prioritize one of them this criterion is considered. Further, the rules or the criteria prescribed by the authorities for tie-breaking is as follows:

• The student with a better score in Pharmaceutics is given preference.
• If the tie still exists, then the candidate with more marks in Pharmaceutical Chemistry is ranked higher in the merit list.
• Further, the student with a lesser no. of wrong responses is given preference.
• In case the tie still exists, then the student older in age is ranked higher in the rank list.

GPAT Cut Off 2025

The cutoff marks are the minimum qualifying marks, only the students with this many marks are eligible for admission. Moreover, the cutoff marks of each pharmacy institute may vary from the other. Thus, the students should check the cutoff list of the institute to which they want to get admission. The GPAT Cut-Off List further is released category-wise. NTA Pharmacy Counselling 2025

The rounds of counselling begin after the release of the merit list. It is the last and final round of the admission process.
