JIPMER PG Merit List 2025: The JIPMER PG January session rank list has been released. The July session rank list is expected to release in June 2025. The exam will take place on 16th June 2025. How to download Merit List for JIPMER PG 2025
A step by step account of how to download the merit list is given below. Please go through the steps carefully to download the merit list.
- Visit the official website of the JIPMER – www.jipmer.edu.in
- Click on the link given on the website to check the Merit list.
- In the next step, candidates have to enter their login credentials – User ID and Password.
- After entering the mandatory details, candidates are directed to their rank letters or JIPMER PG result 2025.
- It is required of the candidates to take a print out of the JIPMER PG rank letter 2025 as they have to show it at the time of JIPMER PG counselling.

Details given on the JIPMER PG Candidate Admission List 2025
There are cases, where two students have the same names, and hence that causes confusion. Therefore, in the merit list, unique information is provided so that students can easily look out for their names without any confusion. Further, the details that a candidate can find on the INI CET 2025 Merit List are as follows:
- Name
- Date of birth of the candidate
- Number of correct and negative responses
- Total marks
- Percentile scored
- Category rank
- Overall rank.
Types of JIPMER PG Merit List
JIPMER release several types of JIPMER PG 2025 Rank List. It comprises one overall and eight category-wise merit lists. The overall merit list includes the names of all the candidates who appeared in the JIPMER PG 2025 exam, however, the category-wise lists include only candidates who are shortlisted for the counselling process. The merit lists is prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the exam.
The following types of JIPMER PG Admission Merit list are released:
- Overall Merit List ( shall include all candidates who appeared in the exam)
- OBC Merit List (includes non-creamy layer OBC candidates only)
- SC Merit List (includes SC candidates)
- ST Merit List (includes ST candidates)
- OPH Merit List (includes Orthopedic Physically Challenged candidates)
- Institute Merit List (includes such candidates who have passed MBBS from JIPMER only)
- Sponsored Merit List (includes candidates who are being sponsored by the Government)
Foreign National Merit list (includes NRI candidates)

JIPMER PG Rank List 2025 – Tie-breaking procedure
In case of two or more candidates are scoring the same marks in JIPMER PG 2025, the merit is decided in the following preference:
Candidates with the least number of wrong attempts get a higher rank.
In case the tie does not break, then the candidate who is older in age get first preference and get the higher rank on the list.
Important Information about the Jawaharlal PG Final Merit List 2025
The merit list of the JIPMER Final PG 2025 Merit List has some specific information that we urge the students to be familiar with.
- JIPMER PG merit list 2025 is released separately for the January and July sessions.
- The merit lists have eight categories (including SC, ST, and OBC). The Category-wise merit list includes shortlisted candidates only.
- The list includes details like name and date of birth of the candidate, number of correct and negative responses, total marks, percentile scored, category rank and also overall rank.
- One overall merit list is released, that contains names of all candidates who appeared in the exam along with their qualifying status.
- The merit lists shall be available online on JIPMER Website.
- No separate intimation letter arrives for the qualifying candidates.
- The examination Authorities do not entertain any requests for revaluation/ rechecking of JIPMER PG answer sheet.
- All candidates are have to score the least minimum qualifying score to be eligible for admission in the PG courses.
JIPMER PG Counselling 2025
Candidates who are in JIPMER MD/MS Rank List get a call for the counselling. The call shall be in the order of their ranks on the merit list for admission to any MD/ MS programmes. JIPMER officials release an official notice. Candidates who don’t get the qualifying marks do not get a call.
The counselling process is offline. And it has three rounds. The allotment of seats is based on the merit rank of the candidate and depending on MD/ MS seats available at that time opted by the candidate.
