JEE Advanced IIT Ropar Cutoff 2025: Indian Institute of Technology Ropar (abbreviated as IIT Ropar or IIT RPR) shortlists the candidate for admission depending upon the cutoff of IIT Ropar. The concerned authority due to this selection prepares the cutoff every year. The cutoff is generally released after completion of JEE Advanced examination. Further, applicants can check this cutoff on the official website www.iitm.ac.in using their credentials.
The least marks required by an applicant to be eligible for admission is known as the cutoff of IIT Ropar. Thus, the institute admits those applicants who meet this cutoff. Conversely, candidates who fail to meet the cutoff are rejected to apply for admission. Aspirants who desire for admission in the institute, therefore, must perform well so that they get shortlisted for admission based on the IIT Ropar Cutoff. About the Institute
The Indian Institute of Technology Ropar is a public institution of engineering, science, and technology. It is located in Rupnagar, Punjab, India. The institute is among the eight IITs established under the Institute of Technology (Amendment) Act 2011. IIT Ropar was founded in 2008 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The institute initially started operating from IIT Delhi campus which is the mentor of IIT RPR. After that, the institute started operating from its transit campuses. One from the campus of Government Polytechnic College for Women and the other form the campus of NIELIT, in Ropar. However, IIT Ropar was relocated to its permanent campus in July, 2018. The permanent campus of the institute is spread over 500 acres of land on the banks of river Satluj.
Indian Institute of Technology Ropar provides admission to aspirants in various Undergraduate and Post Graduate programmes. There are a total of 309 seats available under these programmes for allotting to candidates for admission. Currently, the institute has 641 students in UG, 162 students in PG and 332 students in Ph.D. programmes.
Admission Process of IIT Ropar
Apart from meeting the cutoff of IIT Ropar, the institute also admits candidates on the basis of following admission modes:
- The candidate must have qualified JEE Main and then take JEE Advanced in which they must obtain a valid score. The institute then grants admission through JoSAA counselling.
- General category applicants must have an aggregate of 75% in class 12th. Whereas SC/ST/PwD category applicants must have an aggregate of at least 65%.
- The desiring aspirant must be one of the top 20 percentiles of class 12th board exams.
Last Year Cutoff of IIT Ropar
Indian Institute of Technology Ropar has already released the IIT Ropar Cutoff 2020. Through this last year cutoff, candidates come to know about the basis of admission criteria. Also, an individual gets an idea about the opening and closing ranks of different branches. On the basis of these, applicants can estimate their chances of admission in the institute. In addition, candidates can also predict the present year cutoff i.e. IIT Ropar Cutoff 2025. The present year cutoff will be released soon.
