GCET 2020 – Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Goa will be conducting the annual Goa Common Entrance Test for the academic admission of 2020 session. GCET 2020 – Important Dates
DTE Goa will be conducting the annual Common Entrance Exam, i.e. GCET 2020, during the month of May 2020. Candidates can start applying from the 1st week of April 2020. GCET 2020 – Eligibility Criteria
DTE Goa has set forth certain guidelines for the GCET 2020 aspirants so as to maintain a minimum standard among the student resource who will be appearing for the GCET 2020 Exam. Candidates must necessarily clear these guidelines as failing to clear may lead to disqualification. DTE Goa has prepared the eligibility criteria on the basis of certain criterions such as age factor, nationality, qualifying exam and marks and so on.
The GCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria is as given below.

GCET Application Form 2020 Submission Procedure
Directorate of Technical Education Goa will be releasing the GCET 2020 Application Form during the 1st week of April 2020. Candidates will have to submit their entries within the stipulated time frame. The candidate can download the application form from the official website, which then is to be filled in and sent to prescribed address.
The complete procedure is laid down below.
- Go to the official website of DTE Goa.
- Locate ‘Application Forms’ under the Admission panel in the main menu.
- Click on the GCET Application Form.
- The Application Form Annexure will be accessible to the candidates.
- At this point, candidates will have to take a print of the Application Form on a A-4 size sheet.
- Candidates are advised to read instructions overleaf carefully before filling the form.
- Applicant must fill this form in his/ her own handwriting, after downloading & printing this FORM from the website, on good quality A4 Size bond paper, and submit the same at the notified locations (as per Centres opted), on specified dates, along with self-attested copies of required documents.
- Self-attested photo copies of the following Certificates to be enclosed: a) SSCE Passing Certificate. b) Std. 12th passing certificate or HSSC Examination Hall Ticket.
- The Form should be accompanied by Demand draft for INR 1800 payable at Panaji, in favor of “Director of Technical Education” drawn on any Scheduled Bank, or any other approved form of remittance, as may be duly notified.
GCET 2020 – Admit Card
Candidates will be asked to collect the GCET 2020 Admit Card as this document is what will grant them the access inside the examination hall. The Admit Card for Goa CET 2020 Exam will be available in the offline mode. Candidates will have to reach out to the designated centers of DTE Goa. The Admit Card will include details such as exam date, venue, address, roll number, candidate’s personal information and so on. GCET 2020 Admit Card will be available during the 3rd week of April 2020.

GCET 2020 – Answer Key
The GCET answer key 2020 will be released by the exam conducting authority in a few days after the examination has been concluded. The Answer key of GCET will carry all the correct answer key option number to the questions asked in the examination. With the help of the answer key, candidates will be able to cross check their answers that they have provided in the Goa CET 2020 examination. The answer key will also help the candidate calculate the probable score that they will get in the examination before the final results are out. Using the answer key, candidates will be able to have an idea of which institute they will probably get admission in with the score calculated.
GCET 2020 Result
DTE Goa will be releasing the Goa CET Exam Results for the candidates who will be appearing for the examination. The Result will be published during the 3rd week of May 2020. Candidates can view their results from the official website of DTE Goa. The Goa CET 2020 Result will be displayed in the form of PDF format and candidates will be able to see their subject wise score, overall score, and rank.
GCET 2020 Merit List
Merit List of the eligible candidates shall be prepared in the descending order of the qualifying Goa CET 2020 marks. For Bachelors in Engineering, the merit list shall be based on aggregate marks of GCET 2020 in the subjects of Physics and Mathematics.
Tie Break Scenario
- In case the above marks of two or more applicants are equal, applicant with more marks in GCET 2020 Mathematics shall be placed higher in the merit list.
- If the marks in Mathematics are also equal, applicant with more marks in GCET 2020 Chemistry will be placed higher in the merit list.
- In case the marks in GCET 2020 in Chemistry are also equal, applicant with more aggregate marks in Physics and Mathematics at the qualifying examination (Std. 12th) will be placed higher in the merit list.
- In case of tie at this stage, applicant scoring more marks in Mathematics at the qualifying examination (Std. 12th) will be placed higher in the merit list.
- If all the above are also equal, then the applicant with earlier date of birth will be placed higher in the order of merit.
GCET Counselling 2020
The GCET Counselling 2020 will be conducted in the month of June – July 2020. The counselling procedure will be held in 3 rounds and there may/ may not be an additional round if required. Only those candidates who have been listed on the merit list will be able to participate in the GCET 2020 counselling round. The committee in charge of conducting the counselling will release the counselling schedule and candidates will be called according to their rank in the Goa CET 2020 merit list. Candidates must not forget to bring their original documents and the required photocopies to the allotted venue for verification.
