GCET 2020 – Directorate of Technical Education, Goa is the conducting body of the Goa Common Entrance Test. GCET is the annual state engineering exam in which thousands of students participate. The annual exam for the academic session 2020-21 will be held on 5th & 6th May 2020. The eligible and interested candidates, who are interested in pursuing their undergrad engineering programs from one of the colleges located in the state of Goa, can start applying from the 3rd week of March 2020. GCET 2020 exam will take place on May 2020. The mode of application is an offline mode. The GCET 2020 Admit Card will be available offline from the DTE, Goa center from 3rd week of April 2020. GCET 2020 Important Dates
The candidates who are willing to appear in the GCET 2020 must be aware of the GCET schedule for the session 2020-2021. DTE Goa will conduct the annual Common Entrance Exam, i.e. GCET 2020, during the month of May 2020. It is important for candidates to be aware of the complete GCET 2020 dates and schedule so as to not miss out any important details.

GCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria
DTE Goa has set forth certain guidelines for the GCET 2020 aspirants so as to maintain a minimum standard among the student resource who will be appearing for the GCET 2020 Exam. Candidates must necessarily clear these guidelines in order to fill the form. If candidates fail to clear the requirement then it may lead to disqualification. DTE Goa has prepared the eligibility criteria on the basis of certain criterions such as age factor, nationality, qualifying exam and marks and so on.

GCET Application Form 2020
Directorate of Technical Education Goa will release the GCET 2020 Application Form during the 3rd week of March 2020. Candidates have to download the GCET Application form from the official website and take the print of it, which is then to be filled in and sent to the prescribed address. The mode of the application procedure is an offline mode.
The complete procedure is laid down below.
- Visit the https://dte.goa.gov.in/
- Locate ‘Application Forms’ under the Admission panel on the main menu.
- Click on the GCET 2020 Application Form.
- The Application Form Annexure will be accessible to the candidates.
- Take the print of the Application Form on an A-4 size sheet.
- Candidates are advised to read instructions carefully before filling the form.
- Applicant must fill the form in his/ her own handwriting, and submit the same at the notified locations (as per Centres opted), on specified dates, along with self-attested copies of required documents.
- The Form should be accompanied by Demand draft for INR 1800 payable at Panaji, in favor of “Director of Technical Education” drawn on any Scheduled Bank, or any other approved form of remittance, as may be duly notified.
GCET Admit Card
Candidates need to collect the GCET 2020 Admit Card from the designated centers of DTE Goa from the 3rd week of April 2020. GCET Admit card will grant the access to candidates inside the examination hall. The Admit Card for Goa CET 2020 Exam will be available in an offline mode. The Hall Ticket of GCET contains the details such as exam date, venue, address, roll number, candidate’s personal information and so on.
GCET 2020 Exam Pattern
DTE Goa has incorporated several norms and structures for Goa CET 2020 Examination. Candidates must be aware of GCET 2020 Exam Patten in order to have an idea about the exam. It includes examination mode, question paper pattern, answering mode, number of sections, subject-wise distribution of questions and so on.

GCET 2020 Answer Key
The GCET answer key 2020 will be released by the exam conducting authority in a few days after the examination has been concluded. The Answer key of GCET will carry all the correct answer key option number to the questions asked in the examination. With the help of the answer key, candidates will be able to cross check their answers that they have provided in the Goa CET 2020 examination. It will help the candidates to calculate the probable score that they will get in the examination before the final results are out. Using the answer key, candidates will be able to have an idea of which institute they will probably get admission in with the score calculated.
GCET 2020 Result
DTE Goa will release the Goa CET Exam Result for the candidates who will be appearing for the examination. The Result will be published during the 3rd week of May 2020. Candidates can view their results from the official website of DTE Goa. The Goa CET 2020 Result will be displayed in the form of PDF format and candidates will be able to see their subject-wise score as per roll no.
GCET 2020 Merit List
Merit List of the eligible candidates shall be prepared in the descending order of the qualifying Goa CET 2020 marks. For Bachelors in Engineering, the merit list shall be based on aggregate marks of the subjects.
Tie Break Scenario
- In case the above marks of two or more applicants are equal, the applicant with more marks in GCET 2020 Mathematics shall be placed higher in the merit list.
- If the marks in Mathematics are also equal, the applicant with more marks in GCET 2020 Chemistry will be placed higher in the merit list.
- In case the marks in GCET 2020 in Chemistry are also equal, applicant with more aggregate marks in Physics and Mathematics at the qualifying examination (Std. 12th) will be placed higher in the merit list.
- In case of tie at this stage, applicant scoring more marks in Mathematics at the qualifying examination (Std. 12th) will be placed higher in the merit list.
- If all the above are also equal, then the applicant with earlier date of birth will be placed higher in the order of merit.
GCET Counselling 2020
The GCET Counselling 2020 will conduct in the month of June/July 2020. The counselling procedure will take place in 3 rounds and there may be an additional round if required. Only those candidates who have been listed on the merit list will be able to participate in the GCETcounselling round. The committee in charge of conducting the counselling will release the counselling schedule and candidates will be called according to their rank in the Goa CET 2020 merit list. Candidates must not forget to bring their original documents and the required photocopies to the allotted venue for verification.
