DAVV admission procedure 2020
Common Entrance Test (CET) 2020: DAVV conducts entrance test via online mode which is also known as Computer based test (CBT) University started online test in 2017 after Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Digital India scheme. Earlier test was taken in offline form. The test is conducted for many courses for both PG and UG admission. Test is divided into four groups A, B, C & D.
Doctorate Entrance Test (DET) 2020: DET is conducted for admission in Doctorate and Phd programmes at DAVV. It follows the similar process as CET. The exam is taken by University Teaching Departments. The candidate must have master’s degree to be eligible to sit for DET 2020.
DAVV admission Eligibility Criteria 2020:
Minimum eligibility for admission in DAVV is 45-55% for post graduate (PG) and Under graduate (UG) courses. Cut off can vary from courses to courses. Popular courses have higher cut off marks while least popular may have a little low, depending on the number of candidates and choice of course one has applied for. Reservation in some courses gives alternate benefit to students. Students belonging to SC, ST community gets up to 5% rebate in cutoffs.
Similarly, students belonging to minority community and OBC get relaxation. Few courses have quota for NRI students and domicile of Jammu and Kashmir. However, to get benefit of reservation one has to provide valid certificates.
Age limit for Under Graduate courses is 23 years and Post Graduate courses is 28 years. Age limit can exceed in case of students belonging from SC, ST, OBC and minority community.
DAVV Admission 2020 Application Process;
Interested students can apply in various courses via online mode by going to the university website. The date of registration begins in April and sometimes May. Aspirants has to register on official website of university after the forms are made available.
To apply, candidates will first have to register themselves on the website as new user.After registration, a registration number will be given which is required for further process. Registration number is login id of candidate.The candidate needs to fill the form correctly with relevant and truthful information. No column should be left blank. It also requires one passport sized photograph and signature.
Payment of fee can only be done online through MP government portal. Offline payment is not allowed. Candidate can apply in more than one course at the same time. Application fee will be charged only once even if candidate applies in multiple courses.
There is no age limit for candidates applying for P.hd and M.phil courses.
Age Limit: For Under Graduate course, the upper age limit for the male candidate is 23 years and for Post Graduate the upper age limit for the male candidate is 28 years. There is no upper age limit for female candidates.
Application Form of DAVV Admission 2020
The candidates seeking admission will have to fill the application form for admission. The application form will be submitted only for B.C.A., P.G.D.C.A., M.Sc. (Computer Science), M.Sc. (Information Technology) and M.B.A. (Computer Management) programmes in online mode only through www.mponline.gov.in. The hard copy of the application form will be not required.
The candidates who applied for admission into the courses other than B.C.A., P.G.D.C.A., M.Sc. (Computer Science), M.Sc. (Information Technology) and M.B.A. (Computer Management) programmes will have to submit the hard copy of the application form along with required documents to concerned Department/ Schools/ Institute/ Centre (Postal addresses will be given in Information brochure).
Procedure to fill the Application Form
The candidates were to follow the steps to fill in the Application Form:
- Fill your name in CAPITAL LETTERS as it appears in your 10th class mark sheet. Leave one blank box between adjacent words. Do not use any prefixes like Mr., Mrs., Miss/ Ms. etc.
- Fill your Parent/ Guardian name in CAPITAL LETTERS as it appears in your 10th class mark sheet.
- Enter your Date of Birth as recorded in 10th class mark sheet in DD/ MM/ YY format only.
- Upload/ Paste your photograph.
- Tick appropriate box in Gender case.
- Candidate belongs to (OBC/ SC/ ST/ PwD) category shall tick the appropriate box. The candidates will not be allowed to change the category at any stage.
- Select the course for which seeking admission.
- Provide valid contact number and e-mail id for future communication.
- If any candidate wish to apply for more than one programme, then he/ she must apply in separate application form.
Examination Centre 2020
Examination Centre will be given according to preference of candidate filled in registration form. University will ask to provide two or more centre of candidate’s choice and select on that basis. Exam centre will be mentioned in admit card for DAVV Entrance Test. Based on the examination centre provided for 2020 entrance test, candidate has to reach their with valid documents. It is advice to reach the examination centre half an hour before the test begins. Mobile phones are not allowed inside the classrooms.
DAVV Admit Card 2020
DAVV releases its admit card through online mode. Hall ticket for 2020 exams will be available on the official website. Admit card will be issued for the applied course before exam date to the candidates by their respective department. Candidates appearing for the exam need to download the admit card. Hard copy of admit card is required for the entrance test for verification purpose. Candidate must carry admit cards with them to the exam hall. Roll number mentioned in admit card is required in paper. Admit cards will be uploaded on university website, candidate can access it using registration number, password and date of birth. Card is made available on website almost 7 days before the DAVV university exam for 2020.
DAVV Result 2020
After the completion of exams, university will upload results on it’s official website for 2020 entrance test. Candidates will have to check university website for results of their respective tests. Selected candidates will be called for counselling by the university. In case, a candidate gets selected for two courses, he or she can decide which course to pursue. In these cases, student gets a chance to select what to pursue and leave the rest. Cut-off varies on the basis of reservation in some of the courses. Students from OBC, SC, ST or minority communities will get exemption in cut-offs.
DAVV CET Counselling 2020
DAVV releases it’s counselling list after the exams are conducted and results have arrived. It announces dates for counselling for candidates who are eligible for it. The list and date and place of counselling is published on official website of DAVV. Selected candidates are called to their respective centres or college depending on course they have applied for. The counselling process is conducted by the departments where students are judged on basis of their quality.
Candidate needs to keep all the important documents for verification. Some important documents required are

After the completion of counselling process DAVV will release it’s final list of selected candidates for 2020. Details regarding fee will be available on the website. Candidate is required to submit fee through MP government portal. Fee submission is not allowed through offline mode.
