BHU RET 2019 Application Form
BHU RET Application Form 2019: The Application form of Banaras Hindu University Research Entrance Test (RET) will be made available on the official website of the University. Candidates interested in taking admission will be required to fill the Application of BHU RET 2019 in its completion and submit it before the due date. The details mentioned in the BHU RET 2019 Application form should be valid and correct as any form of misleading information will lead to the cancellation of the candidature. The information brochure containing the details regarding BHU RET will also be released along with the Application form mentioning the details of filling up the form. Candidates are advised to read the brochure thoroughly before proceeding for the application and follow the detailed instruction. BHU RET 2019 Eligibility Criteria
BHU RET Eligibility Criteria 2019: The candidates applying for Research Entrance Test should make sure to go through the eligibility conditions as prescribed by the University. It is important to fulfil the eligibility conditions and the final admission will be provided only after all the conditions are satisfied. The eligibility conditions of BHU RET 2019 will be made available in the latest release notification by the University. Candidates applying for the research program in a particular course will have to go through the eligibility conditions as prescribed by the concerned department. The BHU RET 2019 interview will be conducted on the basis of the Research proposal submitted by the candidate. The candidate must have secured at least 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade points average in qualifying examination.
BHU RET 2019 Admit Card
BHU RET Admit Card 2019: The Admit card of BHU Research Entrance Test 2019 will be made available on the official website of the University. It will contain all the required details which will be important for the candidate appearing for the exam. BHU RET 2019 Admit card will mention the date of the BHU RET 2019 exam, venue, timing, name of the candidate, name of the course and department, application number and other important instructions to be followed by the candidate on the day of the exam. The BHU RET 2019 Admit Card should be kept with utmost care as it will be required for the admission procedure further in the Research program. The BHU RET 2019 Admit card of the Research Entrance Test will only be available in an online mode and candidates will not be able to access it in person.
BHU RET Exam Pattern 2019
BHU RET 2019 Exam Pattern: Banaras Hindu University will be conducting the Research Entrance Test in three phases. The BHU RET 2019 first two exams will be written exams testing the logical and analytical capability and evaluating a subject knowledge for which the candidate applied for the research program. The final one will be of the presentation of the Research Proposal and the conduction of the Personal Interview for the final selection.
The Research Entrance Test will be conducted in three phases:
- Test A: For accessing Logical and Analytical Capability
- Test B: For the assessment of the subject knowledge.
- Test C: Research proposal and conduction of the personal interview.
Test A: Assessment of Logical and Analytical Capability- This test will be the preliminary exam for the candidates to qualify in order to proceed for the further admission procedure. Test A will be the common one across all the departments and will be a common preliminary test for the candidates applying. The test will have 60 MCQ’s consisting questions for the evaluation of the Logical thinking, Quantitative Ability, General Knowledge, questions of computer usage including the question for testing language skills. The Candidate is required to secure a minimum of 35% in Test A in order to qualify for the exam. The time duration of this exam will be 60 minutes and will be of 180 marks. There will be Negative Marking.
Test B: Assessment of the Subject Knowledge- This Test will be conducted for the evaluation of the candidate’s knowledge in the respective subject for which she/he is applying for Research. It will be held in conjunction with Test A. The test will be of 120 minutes and will be of 200 marks. The pattern of the question paper will include 40 MCQ’s and there will be Negative marking for the wrong answer. There will also be 10 Short Answer Questions out of which 5 questions have to be answered. Each question will carry 16 marks making the total of 80 marks.
Test B is designed to check and evaluate the analytical ability of the candidate along with the subject knowledge. It should be noted that Test B will be checked and marked only if the candidate has qualified Test A. The candidate is required to secure at least 30% marks in Test B in order to be eligible to go for the next stage of an exam.
Test C- Research Proposal and Personal Interview: The final stage of the exam will be conducted by the concerned department/school/centre and will be of 100 marks in total i.e. for writing the one-page research proposal (30 marks) which will be followed by the personal Interview (70 marks). It should be noted that the selection of the candidates for Test C will be done strictly on the basis of the merit in Test B. The Board appointed for the purpose of the conduction of this exam will examine the Research Proposal and will ask questions in relation to the topic in which the candidate is interested in pursuing their research.
BHU RET Result 2019
BHU RET 2019 Result: Banaras Hindu University will be releasing the Merit list of BHU RET 2019 mentioning the names of the candidates selected for getting the admission into the PhD program in the applied departments. Based on the final Merit List order, the concerned admission committee will release RET and RET exempted merit list of the candidates who will be declared qualified for the said disciplines. For the candidates who gave RET, the Merit List will be prepared on the basis of the marks secured by a candidate in Test A, Test B, Test C and Academic Record while the candidates who will be exempted from RET will be selected on the basis of their performance in Test C and their Academic Record.
