The Andhra University is a public university located in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. It was established in 1926 and shared affiliating responsibilities with Madras University in the initial years. It is located in a campus of 171 hectares. This university holds three exams AUCET, AUEET and AURCET to shortlist the students for various courses like undergraduate, postgraduate, M.phil and research programmes. This article will provide information about the overview of all the exams conducted by this university for the academic session 2018-19.

Andhra University Exams 2018

1. AUCET Andhra University Common Entrance Test (AUCET) is conducted in order to provide admission to candidates in postgraduate courses in the field of  Science, Humanities, Commerce, Teaching, Management and Mass Communication. On the basis of scores obtained in AUCET, candidates are offered admission in Andhra University and its affiliated colleges as well as Dr BR Ambedkar University, Srikakulam and its affiliated colleges.
2. AUEET For admission in undergraduate courses in the field of  Engineering, Andhra University Engineering Entrance Test (AUEET) is held. The duration of the engineering course is six year (B. Tech+M.Tech). On the basis of AUEET score, candidates are offered admission in Andhra University.
3. AURCET Candidates having PG degree in Science, Arts, Law, Pharmacy and Engineering Courses and seeking admission into M.Phil. or Ph.D. programmes must appear for the AURCET 2018 conducted by the Directorate of Admissions, Andhra University.

Important Dates Andhra University Examination 2018

The official examination conducting authority has released the date of the significant events related to AUCET 2018 and AUEET 2018. The dates of the event is same for both AUCET and AUEET. The information regarding the same has been provided in the table below. However, the dates of AURCET 2018 has been not yet released.

Andhra University Examination 2018 Eligibility Criteria

To attend the any one of the above-mentioned exams candidates need to possess the below mentioned eligibility criteria. If the candidate finds him/ her eligible, then they should register and fill up the application form. The eligibility criteria for all the three exams has been provided in the table below:

  • Candidates must have passed the qualifying 10 + 2 examination with Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry with minimum 50% Marks from any recognized board.
  • Students appearing for the qualifying examination in this year (2018), they are also eligible to apply for the AUEET 2018 provided they produce the mark sheet and certificate at the time of admission.
AURCET
3. FULL-TIME M. Phil. / Ph. D. Programme: Candidate must be a Post-graduate degree holders with at least 55% of marks (50% in the case of SC/ST Candidates) or equivalent CGPA in the concerned subject or in an allied subject or any other PG Degree recognized by the University as equivalent to prescribed in eligibility criteria can apply for full-time M. Phil. / Ph.D. degree. They must qualify in AURCET 2018.
4.  PART-TIME M. Phil / Ph. D. Programme: In-Service candidates satisfying the above eligibility conditions can apply for part-time. Admission into part-time programmes will be made by preparing merit order by considering rank and service weightage.

Andhra University Examination 2018 Application Form

To apply for the particular exam, candidate, first, need to know the eligibility criteria. The application form procedure to apply for all the three exam is same. Only the amount to pay as registration fee is different. However, the steps to register and apply for the three exams is provided below:

The application form for AUEET and AUCET 2018 is available in online mode from March 22nd, 2018. The last date to apply is April 21st, 2018. The applicants should check the eligibility criteria for a course in which he/she wants to get enrolled before filling up the application form. The steps for filling up the application form of Andhra University in online mode is given below:

The following information must be kept ready in hand before application form filling:

  1. Select the eligible courses and corresponding tests.
  2. Date of Birth as per SSC records.
  3. PH/NCC/ NSS/SPORTS /CAP etc.
  4. Parental Income Up to One lakh or up to Two lakhs or more than Two Lakhs (rupees)
  5. Percentage of marks and year of Passing of Qualifying Examination, if Passed.
  6. Hall ticket number of the qualifying examination.
  7. Study or Residence (from M.R.O) or relevant certificate for proof of local status.
  8. Caste in case of SC/ST/BC candidates.
NOTE: The above original certificates are required to be submitted during the Counselling for Admission.

To register and fill up the application form, follow the steps below:

Step 1:- Go to the link given at the top of this page.

Step 2:- Read the instruction carefully and click on “Apply Now” option.

Step 3:- Create a “login ID” and “password” by registering yourself.

Step 4:- Fill in the application form by entering the personal details and academic qualification.

Step 5:- Payment of application fee.

Step 6:- Download the application form and take the printout of the same for future use.

NOTE: The application fee payment will have to be made by the candidate in online mode through debit/ credit cards or net banking. The amount to be paid as registration fee for the test is provided in the table below:

Andhra University Admit Card/ Hall Ticket 2018

The Andhra University has announced the dates for the availability of AUCET and AUEET admit card 2018. The hall ticket will be available online for download on 4th May 2018. The registered applicants must download the same and carry to the examination hall. The admit card contains the name and address of the exam centre and other details. The candidate also needs to carry one valid identity card along with the hall ticket. Link to download the same will be provided on this page. The Admit Card will not be sent to the candidates by Post/Email/SMS etc.

Andhra University Results

The Andhra University will declare the result of AUCET and AUEET both on 21st May 2018. The candidates who attend the respective exam can check their result by entering the login credentials. The result will include the marks obtained by the candidate, roll number and name. Based on the marks, a particular rank will be allotted to the applicants.

Merit list of Andhra University 2018

A final merit list will be prepared by the official examination conducting authority after the declaration of result. The merit list will contain the names of the shortlisted candidates to whom the seats will be allotted in the respective programme. They have to report to the counselling venue in person along with the following set of documents (given below) for verification.

Counselling of Andhra University

The candidates must report to the counselling venue. The counselling details will be uploaded on the official website. At the time of certificate verification at helpline centres, candidates should produce the following original certificates in support of the qualification and reservations claimed in the application for verification.

  1. Rank Card & Hall Ticket.
  2. Intermediate original certificate.
  3. Marksheet of the Qualifying Examination.
  4. Transfer and Conduct Certificate from the institution where the candidate last studied. Candidates who have completed/studied already or discontinued and seeking admission to second PG or professional course should submit TC relating to first PG course only.
  5. Migration Certificate (for other Universities)
  6. Valid latest income certificate issued by M.R.O./ Thasildar if fee concession is claimed.  (the validity of income certificate is four years from the date of issue) or White ration card
  7. Study Certificates for the last seven years ending with the qualifying examination or Residence Certificate for preceding seven years of the qualifying examination.
  8. original certificate.
  9. Integrated Community Certificate issued by the competent authority in case of SC/ST/BC/EBC/ Minority candidates.
  10. Date of Birth Certificate (SSC/Matriculation or equivalent Certificate).
  11. 4 recent colour passport size photograph.
  12. Candidates opting for admission under NCC/Sports/CAP/PH/NSS quota shall produce the relevant original certificate, in addition to the above.
  13. Discharge certificate and service certificate of the parent in case of children of armed personnel.
  14. Physical fitness certificate from an Asst. Civil Surgeon.
  15. One set of Photocopies of all the above certificates.
NOTE: After verification of the Certificates, at the helpline centre, the candidate will get all his/her Original certificates back except TC, CC and Migration certificate. The receipt of proof for producing original certificates shall be given to the candidate.

Seat Reservation

The government of Andhra Pradesh has reserved the seat for the candidates belonging to reservation category. 85% of the available seats are reserved in favour of the Local Candidates from the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur and Prakasam belonging to Andhra University area.

Candidates have to mention their reservation category while filling the application form of the particular entrance exam. Students claiming reservation are required to produce valid supporting documents in the prescribed format at the time of counselling in order to avail the benefit of reserved seats. The table given below contains the distribution of seats category-wise.
