AEEE stands for Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination, a university level examination conducted for admission to undergraduate engineering course offered in the campuses of Amrita University namely Amritapuri, Bengaluru, and Coimbatore. Like every year, the exam was conducted in both online and offline mode from 19th to 22nd April and 28th April 2018 respectively. The Application forms for the exam were available on the official website and could be submitted till the 9th of April 2018.

The results of the same have been announced on 7th May 2018. After the results had been declared, a merit list was published that contained the names of all the candidates eligible for admission. These candidates were then called for the AEEE 2018 Counselling, the details of which are given below.

AEEE Counselling Updates 2018
Candidates having AEEE 2018 rank between 20001 and 22500, who completed +2 from Tamil Nadu / Kerala / Karnataka are invited to attend counselling on June 7th at 08:30 AM at one of the engineering campuses.

AEEE 2018 offline counselling for SC/ST Category candidates of the Open and state quota has begun. Candidates with rank from 1 – 15000 will be attending the first session from 8:30 AM and candidates with rank from 15001 – 25000 will be attending the second session from 10:30 AM.

The admission committee of AEEE 2018 has announced the B. Tech counselling schedule for the academic session 2018-19 for the qualified candidates. Shortlisted candidates will be called based on their rank and category. Counselling schedule contains the rank, category and dates. To know the dates, follow the table given below. The candidates can download the counselling call letter from 9th May onwards. Link to download the same is provided below.
All the candidates who qualify the examination will be called for counselling procedure which will involve seat allotment and document verification process. The counselling procedure will be held in offline mode and candidates will have to reach any of the 3 allotted Amrita University campuses with the required documents. Before this, they will also have to take a print of the counselling letter which will be generated online only. No separate counselling letter will be sent to candidates personally.

AEEE Counselling Schedule 2018
- Candidates belonging to states other than Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala are also eligible to appear for the counselling on 6th of June provided there are vacant seats available under Open Quota after the General Quota counselling on the 5th of June.
- Candidates are strictly advised to look at the seat availability status published in the official website before proceeding to the campus for counselling.

Important Points For AEEE 2018
- Candidates who fail to produce the original and valid documents will not be allowed to appear in the counselling procedure.
- As soon as the candidate accepts the allotted seat, his/her original documents will be retained for a certain period of time.
- The counselling fees of Rs. 5000/- has to be paid by every candidate in the form of a demand draft.
- Candidates will also have to pay an amount of Rs. 50,000/- as a part of admission fees.
- Those candidates who withdraw their admission from B.Tech before the commencement of the session will be refunded the amount with a deduction of Rs 1000/-.
- The fees will be refunded according to the norms of the University.

AEEE 2018 Seat Allotment
The Allotment of Seats for AEEE 2018 will be done based on the rankings of the candidate, keeping in mind the eligibility and preference of seats. After the seat has been allotted candidates will have to pay the fees and complete all other formalities. In case a candidate does not complete the formalities, his/her admission will be held cancelled.
