West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) 2025

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board is empowered to conduct Common Entrance Examinations for admission to UG and PG Professional and Vocational Courses both in the Undergraduate and Postgraduate level. As such, it always endeavors to advocate transparency and implement effective state-of-the-art technology in conducting such examinations. WBJEEB has been instrumental in conducting the WBJEE admission process through online application and allotment through e-Counselling since 2012.

For the academic session of 2025-23, the WBJEE Board is going to conduct the Common Entrance Examination (WBJEE) for admission to UG Courses in Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture Courses in Universities, Government Colleges as well as Self Financing Engineering & Technological Institutes in the State of West Bengal.

About WBJEE 2025 Entrance Exam

WBJEE Exam Dates 2025

WBJEE Board will announce all the dates regarding WBJEE 2025 in their official information brochure. We will update the dates here as soon as they are released on the official website of WBJEE. Until then, check the tentative dates below.

WBJEE Eligibility Criteria 2025

Students must make sure to check all the criteria set by the exam conducting authority. Without fitting into the eligibility criteria of WBJEE 2025, candidates will not be able to seek admission. WBJEE eligibility criteria will be based on various factors given below.

WBJEE Age Limit

• The lower age limit is 17 (seventeen) years as of 31.12.2025. A candidate should have been born on or before 31.12.2004. There is no upper age limit in appearing in the WBJEE 2025.
• However, for admission to the degree level Marine Engineering Course the lower age limit is 17 (seventeen) years as of 31.12.2025 and the upper age limit is 25 Years as of 31.12.2025.

WBJEE Nationality

• Appearing student must be a citizen of India.

WBJEE Entrance Exam Educational Qualification

• The candidate should have qualified for his/ her examination 10+2 with physics, mathematics along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Computer Science/Computer Application as compulsory subjects.
• The candidates should have obtained at least 45% (40% for reserved categories of SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD) as an aggregate of the three subjects.
• The Board of the said Qualifying Examination must be recognized by the Central Government or State Government concerned.

WBJEE Entrance Exam Language

• Candidates should have qualified English in the 10+2 examination with at least 30% marks.

WBJEE Entrance Exam Domicile

• The Candidates should be a domicile of West Bengal.

For Admission To WBJEE 2025 Entrance Exam Engineering Courses

• Candidate must have passed the Qualifying Examination i.e. the ‘10+2’ examination with Physics and Mathematics along with any one of Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Computer Application/Technical Vocational Subject as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in all the three subjects as stated above in regular class mode.
• Must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category e.g. SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD) in the above three subjects taken together.
• Must have passed English in the ‘10+2’ examination with at least 30% marks.
• The Board of the said Qualifying Examination must be recognized by the Central Government or State Government concerned.

For admission To WBJEE 2025 Entrance Exam Pharmacy Courses

1. Candidate must have passed ‘10+2’ examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in all the three subjects as stated above in regular class mode.
2. Must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category e.g. SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD) in the above three subjects taken together.
3. Must have passed English in the ‘10+2’ examination with at least 30% marks.
4. The Board of the said Qualifying Examination must be recognized by the Central Government or State Government concerned. However, the students possessing 10+2 qualifications from non-formal and non-class rooms based schooling such as the National Institute of Open Schooling, open school systems of States, etc. shall not be eligible for admission to B. Pharm. Course.

WBJEE Application Form 2025 Registration

WBJEEB has released the application form on WBJEE 2025 official website. The application form is available online mode on the official website. Each candidate who fills the WBJEE application form 2025 has to fill in all details, pay the application fee, and submit the form before the last date. WBJEE aspirants also have to upload their scanned images to the application form.

Candidates have to fill in only the correct information in the WBJEE application form before the last date. After submitting the application form, candidates will receive a confirmation.

Payment of WBJEE Application Form 2025

After uploading images, candidates have to make the WBJEE application registration form fee payment. Candidates have to pay the Examination Fees either in cashless mode by Net Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Paytm or in cash using Allahabad Bank e-challan. The candidate has to take a print of the challan and deposit the fees in cash in any branch of Allahabad Bank with Core Banking Services (CBS). There is no other method of paying the application fee besides this. WBJEE 2025 application form registration fee is non-refundable under any circumstance.

WBJEE Application Registration Form 2025 Confirmation Page Printout

Upon successful payment of the WBJEE application form registration fee, a candidate will be automatically directed to the option for downloading the ‘Confirmation Page.’

NOTE: The application is not complete until the confirmation page is generated.

The confirmation page contains information as given by the candidate. As such, the board is in no way responsible for any mistake in it. Also, the same information will be repeated in the WBJEE admit card and the rank card. Candidates should take a Print-out of the Confirmation Page and should preserve the same carefully till the completion of the WBJEE admission process. The confirmation page cannot be regenerated after completion of the declared e-counseling and WBJEE admission process conducted by the Board. Hence, it is the responsibility of the candidate to preserve it safely.

WBJEE Application Form Correction 2025

1. If any candidate intends to correct any other information in his/ her WBJEE application form, then they can do so during the given correction window period using the edit mode. The board will not entertain requests for any correction under any circumstances beyond the correction window period.
2. Also, the WBJEE Board does not make any corrections on behalf of any candidate.
3. Confirmation page, admit card, rank card, etc. will be issued with the personal detail as is given by the candidate. WBJEE Board will not be responsible for any mistakes committed by the candidate in the WBJEE application form. The candidate has to take corrective actions at their end with the institute, where they take admission.

WBJEE Entrance Exam 2025 Syllabus

WBJEE Exam will prescribe the syllabus of WBJEE 2025. The examination paper will consist of questions as per the syllabus given by the Board. Therefore, candidates must have a complete understanding of the WBJEE 2025 Syllabus. The subjects for the WBJEE exam are Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

WBJEE Exam Pattern 2025

Understanding the exam pattern of WBJEE is the first step in the preparation process. The exam pattern consists of various points. Read them below.

• WBJEE Exam will take place in offline mode in OMR sheets
• The duration of the exam is 2 hours per paper
• The examination will take place in two shifts, i.e. Paper 1 (Mathematics) & Paper 2 (Physics & Chemistry)
• WBJEE question paper will contain multiple-choice questions
• 1 correct answer will fetch 1 mark to the candidate for Category-I. However, 2 marks for each correct answer in Category-II
• Candidates must use a black or blue ball pen to mark their answers.

WBJEE Entrance Exam Admit Card 2025 Download

The exam conducting authority i.e. WBJEEB is responsible to release the hall ticket of WBJEE 2025. Candidates who will register and submit the WBJEE 2025 application form correctly will be to download the admit card. In order to download the WBJEE hall ticket, the candidate has to enter the login credentials. WBJEE admit card will carry important information about the candidate and exam venue, time, and date. Without admit card and ID proof, candidates will not be allowed to take the WBJEE examination.

Important Points Regarding WBJEE 2025 Admit Card

1. A candidate has to carry a hard copy of the admit card to the WBJEE examination centre.
2. Candidates must ensure that the admit card is not mutilated/ distorted/ soiled even by accident.
3. Candidates can generate duplicate admit cards only till the date of examination. Hence, candidates are advised to retain their admit cards carefully in a safe place to avoid any damage to the document.
4. In order to get a duplicate hall ticket of WBJEE, the candidate must apply to the Board and pay a processing fee of Rs. 500/- by a bank draft in the name of “West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board” payable in Kolkata.
5. WBJEEB does not verify the information provided by the candidate during the online application. Admit cards are issued only on the basis of the information provided by the candidate.
6. All document verifications are to be done during WBJEE counselling, admission, registration with the university, etc. If at any stage after examination, it is found on scrutiny that the applicant is otherwise ineligible, his/her candidature shall be treated as cancelled even if he/she had appeared in and secured a Merit Rank. Hence, appearing in the examination and securing a rank does not constitute a right/guarantee in favor of a candidate for his/her claim for WBJEE 2025 admission.

WBJEE Entrance Exam Centres 2025

Allocation of WBJEE examination centre is on the basis of the choices given by the candidate during the online application form fill-up. However, the discretion of the Board in the allocation of the examination center shall be final. No request for change of allocated center will be entertained under normal circumstances. Candidates from West Bengal, Assam, and Tripura must select any three zones in order of preference.

1. Candidates from other states must select any three zones from Kolkata/ Howrah/ North 24 Parganas/South 24 Parganas in order of preference. Any examination zone may be dropped if adequate numbers of candidates are not available or under any unavoidable circumstance. In such a case, the candidate will be allocated an alternative examination zone.

WBJEE Result 2025

All candidates who have taken the WBJEE paper 1 and paper 2 can download their WBJEE Result from the official website of WBJEE. The result of WBJEE will be available in the form of a rank-card. The rank card will carry the candidate’s rank, marks achieved in the different sections, and total score. The WBJEE result/scorecard is an important document. However, in case of any discrepancy on the scorecard, the candidates must contact the examination authority. Furthermore, the candidates must keep the WBJEE 2025 entrance exam result safe for future purposes. Those who qualify for the exam can participate in the WBJEE Counselling.

However, the candidates who do not qualify for the WBJEE entrance exam, as will be shown in the WBJEE result, will not be eligible to sit for the counselling process.

WBJEE Cutoff 2025

After the release of the cutoff of WBJEE, the Committee will release the cutoff list for various courses (category-wise). All the candidates who meet the cutoff will further appear for the WBJEE counselling rounds. Hence, in order to meet the WBJEE Cutoff, candidates must perform well in the entrance examination.

WBJEE Counselling 2025

Qualifying candidates have to appear for e-counselling. The admission will be on the basis of the GMR and 10% of seats will be filled through JEE Main rank. Document verification is done during WBJEE counselling and subsequent admission and registration will be done with the university.

• A separate notification with details of e-counseling/seat allotment and admission will be published on WBJEE official website. However, only those, eligible for e-counselling, will be able to participate in it.
• Course-wise and institute-wise availability of seats as provided by the competent authorities will also be published before counseling and allotment.
• Also, the credentials of all candidates participating in e-counselling will be verified at Reporting Centres on stipulated dates.
