NTA will be conducting JEE Main 2019 examination for the second time in the month of April. Applicants have first appeared for JEE Main paper-I from 8th to 20th January 2019. Nearly, around 9.5 lakh students appeared in the examination. The concerned authority will conduct paper-II of JEE Main 2019 from 7th to 20th April 2019.

70% of 9.3 Lakh Students Registered for JEE Main 2019 April Exam

As per the recent reports, 9.3 lakh students appeared in JEE Main 2019 January session out of which 6.69 lakh i.e. 70% are appearing again in the April session. The total number of candidates who have registered for paper-II of JEE Main 2019 is 9.54 lakhs. Hence, the registered students for the April session have increased in the number. There are near around 3.1 lakh new registrations in addition to the January session. This is because to improve the scores as the conducting authority considers All India Rank based on the best percentile obtained in any of the two attempts. In the January session of JEE Main 2019, 8816 students obtained a score of 99-100 percentile.

Applicants who have filled the JEE Main 2019 Application Form will be able to sit in the entrance examination for the April session. The exam conducting body has also opened the JEE Main 2019 application form correction window for candidates. The last date of this facility is 15th March 2019. Candidates can edit some specific fields in their forms by logging in using their application number and password. JEE Main 2019 Admit Card will be issued only for the registered aspirants who have correctly filled and submitted their respective application form. The admit card is going to be released on 20th March 2019.

Below is the statistic regarding the registrations received from the different states of India for JEE Main April session 2019

  • Most of the registrations are from the state of Maharashtra according to the records. About 1.1 lakh applicants of Maharashtra have registered from the state alone.
  • After that 97000 applicants of Uttar Pradesh have registered for the exam
  • Followed by the 88000 applicants of Andhra Pradesh
  • Over 72000 registrations have been received from the state of Telangana.

National Testing Agency will allot the examination centre, date and time to all the registered candidates. JEE Main 2019 paper-II will be conducted in two slots via online mode only.
