Norms For Preparation of Merit List of Kolaghat Mahavidyalaya 2025

The Merit List will be prepared by taking an Aggregate/Grand Total of Higher Secondary Board Examination as the sum of the marks obtained in Language- I, II and best three elective subject marks.

• If one language is available in the board examination, then twice the marks in that language and best three elective subject marks should be taken for the calculation.

Eligibility Criteria For Rabindra Mahavidyalaya Admission 2025

Arts Honours

• For Economics Hons. – 45% aggregate (applicable for all categories).
• Must have passed Mathematics or Business Mathematics or Equivalent H.S Board Examination.

The Minimum Qualifying Percentage required for each subject is as follows-

Physics and Chemistry

• Physics/Chemistry Honours, the candidate must score an aggregate of 50% marks, 60% marks in the subject you wish to take Honours, and 40% in Mathematics
• The candidate must score an aggregate of 45% marks, 55% for the subject seeking honors, 40% in mathematics.

Zoology/Botany

• Aggregate- 50% and Biology- 50% (General Category)
• Aggregate- 45% and 45% in Biology

Microbiology

• Aggregate- 45%, Biology- 45% and Chemistry- 30% (for all categories)

Mathematics

• Aggregate – 45%, Mathematics- 50% (General Category)
• Aggregate – 45%, Mathematics- 45% (Reserved Category)

For B.A/B.Sc/B. Com and General Courses

Candidates must note that the B.A/BSc/B.Com Geography Combination the aggregate percentage of marks is as follows

• For General Category, the aggregate marks must be 40%, and Geography – 60%
• The minimum qualifying marks for Reserved Category must be, 40% (aggregate) and 55% in Geography.
• Physical Education Combination – 45% (for all categories)
