## PESSAT Syllabus Important Points 2020

There will be two sections for the exam, so look into the sections carefully.

### Section 1

This section has questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. It consists of the syllabus studied by candidates in their Class XI and Class XII. Weightage of the paper as per the class is given below.

• 30% of the questions will be from Class XI CBSE syllabus.
• 70 % of the questions will be from the Class XII CBSE syllabus.

The second section in PESSAT 2020 will be English grammar. This section will contain 20 questions.

## PESSAT 2020 Preparation Tips

Mathematics: Calculus is one of the main parts. Functions, limits, differentiation, and integration. Then concentrate on Co-Ordinate Geometry(many questions will be from Geometry). Trigonometry and Progressions are some other important topics
Physics: classical physics won’t be a big problem. Be thorough with Kinematics and Rotational mechanical and Oscillations and waves. Much of Modern Physics will be asked. Be very thorough with Electric fields, current electricity, magnetism, optics, and atomic quantum mechanics.
Chemistry: Organic chemistry is the key. Don’t leave a single chapter in Organic. Physical chemistry will be asked. So learn Electro-chemistry, chemical kinetics, and Equilibrium thoroughly.
