Know More about IIT JAM Eligibility Criteria 2025
IITs are well-known institutions of National importance and so are their rules. To put it differently, there is a predefined criterion set by the institution. To clarify, the candidate willing to take the JAM 2025 Exam must fulfil those conditions. The applicant has to fulfil the below given JAM 2025 Eligibility Requirements.
- The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree. The qualifying degree must be with at least 55% aggregate marks without rounding-off (for General/OBC). (50% for SC/ST and PwD category candidates).
OR
- The qualifying degree must be with at least 5.5 out of 10 CGPA/CPI without rounding-off (for General/OBC). (5.0 out of 10 for SC/ST and PwD category candidates).
- The candidate should also be physically fit to pursue the course. In other words, the candidate has to submit a physical fitness certificate. It should be from a registered medical practitioner in the prescribed form. A physical fitness test may be conducted by a medical board constituted by the Admitting Institute. The admission is liable to be cancelled if the candidate found unfit for the course chosen.

IMPORTANT POINTS Related to Eligibility Criteria of IIT JAM
- Once IIT JAM Admit Card 2025 is available. The candidate must check all the details on it for any errors.
- Keeping in mind, if any discrepancy is found in the information provided by the candidate regarding the IIT JAM 2025 Eligibility Criteria. The institute has the authority to cancel the candidature of the candidate with immediate effect.
- In addition, it is entirely the responsibility of the Candidate to prove that he/she satisfies the Minimum Educational Qualifications (MEQs). Along with Eligibility Requirements (ERs) for Admission set by the institution.
- If any candidate is found to have been admitted to a course to which he/she is not entitled, being unqualified or ineligible. The Admitting Institute has the right to cancel the admission of that candidate. Thereafter, it can be done at any stage during the IIT JAM counselling or later in accordance with the rules and regulations in force.
