IIT JAM Counselling 2020: The counselling session of IIT JAM will be conducted tentatively in the first week of April 2020. The candidates, who have qualified the examination will have to attend the counselling session. If he/ she does not attend the counselling session, then one will not be able to take admission in the aspired course. The authority will select the candidates for the counselling as per the ones who qualify the merit list. Candidates, whose names are there in the merit list will be eligible to attend the counselling session. After that, the authority has conducted the counselling session, the candidates will be provided admissions as per the prescribed admission procedure. The admission procedure will be conducted in an online mode only.

The candidates, who have qualified the merit list will be considered eligible to attend the counselling session. One must be aware of the important dates of the counselling. The official dates have not been announced by the candidate. As soon as the authority will announce the official dates, the same will be updated here. Till the date, go through the tentative dates mentioned below:

IIT JAM Counselling 2020
One, who qualify the examination will have to fill an online application form. Submitting the application form will be mandatory in order to attend the counselling session. In the application form, one will have to provide certain details, i.e, preferences of the studying centre as per the aspired subject. The candidates will be provided admission as per the admission list declared by the authority. The authority will release 3 admission lists. One, who has been provided seats through the counselling session will have to log in through their registered id. After one logs in, he/ she will have to select one from the three options. The options will be ‘Accept and Freeze’, ‘Accept with Upgrade’ and ‘Reject and Quit’.
One, who select the option of ‘Accept and Freeze’ or ‘Accept with Upgrade’ will have to pay the ‘Seat Booking Fee’. The Seat Booking Fee has to be paid through online payment modes using Credit Card/ Debit Card/Net Banking. In case if the candidate chooses to withdraw, then an amount of Rs. 1000 will be deducted from their Seat Booking Fee and the final amount will be refunded. If one does not accept the seat that they are offered, then he/ she will not be considered for the admission. One, who has qualified whole admission procedure and has accepted the seats offered must make sure they report at the allotted IIT along with all the documents required to be submitted at the time of admission.
Admission Form of IIT JAM Counselling 2020
The admission form of IIT JAM will be released in an online mode only. One, who qualify the examination will have to submit the admission form. The candidates will have to choose the programmes as per his/ her preference. One will be provided admission on the basis of the same. The candidate has to make sure that he/she is filling are correct. If he/she provides any incorrect detail, then he/she will be facing problems in the future. One has to pay a certain amount of fee along with the application form. The fee payment is mandatory.

The following details will have to be carried to the respective institution for admission procedure. The documents, which are to be carried for admission procedure are:
- Certificate of 10th Standard.
- Certificate of 12th Standard
- Certificate of Qualifying Degree
- Marksheet of Degree (if completed)
- Marksheet of the last semester (If one is in the Final Year)
- Nationality Certificate (for one who belongs to General Category)
- Birth Certificate
- ID Proof (Passport/Voters ID/PAN/Aadhar)
- College Transfer Certificate
- Caste and reservation certificate (OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)), SC, ST
- Valid Certificate for PwD candidates
