The official notification of IIT JAM 2020 has been released by IIT Kanpur on the 11th of July 2019 on the official website. IIT JAM is expanded as IIT Joint Admission Test for MSc. For 2020 IIT Kanpur will be responsible for conducting IIT JAM. It is conducted by various IITs in order to provide admission under various courses. This test is being conducted since 2004. The Joint Entrance Test is conducted on a rotational basis. There is a good opportunity for the Indian as well as Foreign nationals as both can apply for this test. There is also no age restriction for the aspirants. The candidates can start to apply for the examination tentatively from the month of September 2019.

In order to apply, one will have to submit an application form which will be released by the authority. The candidates must make sure to submit the application form before the due date. After the candidate submits the form, he/ she will have to pay the necessary fee. The fee can be paid through the online as well as the offline mode. The examination is conducted in 8 zones. One will have to select the zone as per his/ her compatibility. The authority will be providing a certain percentage of the reservation to the depressed classes of the society. This is to be noted by the candidate that the process of applying for the examination will be in an online mode only. If any candidate turns to disable in applying online, then he/ she can explore other options of pursuing the aspired course.

One, wanting to take the JAM is expected to be up-to-date regarding the important dates of the examination. All the events related to JAM will take place as per the prescribed schedule. IIT JAM Application Form 2020

The application form of IIT JAM will be released on the 5th of September 2019. The candidates will be able to find the forms from the online mode only. The forms will be made available on the official website of IIT Kanpur. After the candidate registers himself/ herself, he/ she will be able to receive the enrollment number on his/ her registered e-mail ID. One has to make sure that he/ she provides the correct information in the application form. After that the candidate completes all the formalities of filling the application form, he/ she will be able to proceed to the next step after logging into the section.

After logging in, one will be asked to enter the required details. One must make sure that the details being provided are correct. The details, which are to be provided are:

  • Employment Details
  • Voter Card Details
  • Pan Card Details

The candidates will have to enter certain details with the help of JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS). The aspirant should submit the application form before the last date strikes. IIT JAM Fee Criteria 2020

The candidate, who aspires to sit in the examination will have to pay the application fee. The payment of the fee will be mandatory. The fee can be paid through online as well as the offline mode also. The online fee can be paid through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking and the offline fee can be paid through E-Challan via SBI. The fee paid be non-refundable. The fee criteria are mentioned below:

Eligibility Criteria for IIT JAM 2020

The candidates, who want to apply for IIT JAM must make sure that they possess enough eligibility for the courses aspired. One cannot fill the application form if he/ she is not eligible enough. The eligibility criteria are mentioned below:

  • Candidates, who belong to General Category must have secured at least 55% in their bachelors.
  • Aspirants belonging to Reserved Category must have secured at least 50% in their bachelors.

IIT JAM Admit Card 2020

The admit card of JAM will be released in the 2nd Week of January 2020. One will be able to find the admit card from the website of JOAPS. The candidate can download the hall ticket after providing in the details in the log in section. It will be mandatory for one to bring the hall ticket to the examination centre. No one will be allowed to attend the examination if he/ she does not carry the IIT JAM 2020 admit card to the test hall. Along with the admit card, one will have to bring some documents to the examination hall. The documents, which are to be carried to the test centre are:

The result of IIT JAM will be released on the 20th of March 2020. One can find the result from the official website of JOAPS. The ranking of the candidates will be done on the basis of the marks they scored in the examination. The result of IIT JAM will be containing the AIR one secures and the marks obtained. The separate merit list will be released on the basis of the same.

IIT JAM Counselling 2020

  • The IIT JAM counselling session will be conducted for one who has cleared the examination.
  • The candidates will be called for the counselling session on the basis of the merit list and the position one has secured in the same.
