It is declared online on the official website of NBE. Those who have appeared the examination with qualifying marks will be listed on the Merit List. How to Check the NEET MDS 2020 Result?
The Result will be released online on the official website of the National Board of Examination. It will be available in PDF format and thus candidates would be able to download it easily. Moreover, candidates should note that the validity of the result is of the current session only. Thus, it will not be carried forward for the next session. - Click on the Result Link – “NEET MDS Result 2020“
- You will be redirected to a new page
- Enter your Roll Number and Date of Birth and click on the submit button
- The Result will be displayed on the screen.
- Download and take the printout.
Minimum Qualifying Marks of NEET MDS 2020
The Minimum Qualifying Marks is nothing but the cut off marks that are set by the National Board of Examinations. Candidates who score the minimum qualifying marks or more than the cut off marks will be eligible for the next admission round. The NEET MDS Cut Off marks varies as per the category. Last year, the cutoff marks of the respective category were lowered by the Central Government in consultation with Dental Council of India (DCI). The Revised Cut-Off Percentile and Marks is as follows-

Moreover, when the no. of students qualifying in each category will be less than 3 times the no. of vacancies on the basis of mentioned percentile, then the cut-off will automatically be lowered.
NTA NEET MDS Tie-Breaking Criteria
The tie-breaking criteria applied when more than two candidates score the same number of marks. It is set by the authorities conducting the exam. Further, on the basis of set criteria, the preferred students get admission.
- Candidate with a lesser number of incorrect responses in the overall paper shall be ranked higher.
- The candidate with a higher score in Part B of the paper will be placed at higher merit position.
- Further, the one with the lesser no. of incorrect responses shall be placed higher.
- If there still be a tie, then the date of birth of candidates will be taken into consideration and the older candidate shall be at a higher merit position.
NEET MDS Result 2020 Types
The National Board of Examinations will announce the NTA NEET MDS 2020 Result in the below-mentioned format. Note that the qualifying marks are different for each category. Thus, you should check the cut-off marks of your respective category. The admission procedure of 50% All India Quota Seats and State Quota Seats is as follows:
Admission to 50% All India Quota Seats
The Result for 50% All India Quota Seats will be released for those candidates who have scored more than the minimum qualifying marks. Candidates scoring more than the minimum qualifying marks will be eligible to attend the NEET MDS Counselling. The Medical Counselling Committee will conduct the counselling round. The Residents of Jammu and Kashmir will not be eligible for the All India Quota Scheme. Candidates who are nominated under the Central Pool by the Government of India to do BDS will also be eligible to attend for 50% All India Quota Seats.

50% State Quota Seats Admission Process
The State Quota Seats are represented by the State Examination Authority. Based on the NEET MDS Scores, candidates offered admissions in various Government, Private, and Deemed Universities. The merit list will be prepared and published by the National Board of Examinations and will be handed over to the respective State Exam Counselling Authority. Later, these State Authorities will prepare a separate merit list to offer admissions in dental institutes established by the State Government, Universities, Municipal Bodies, trust, Society etc.
Difference Between Percentage and Percentile
The Percentile and Percentage have different logic. A percentile rank tells how well the candidate has performed in comparison with others. The Percentage defines how well the candidate has performed in the exam. Moreover, the Percentile Rank defines, that if a candidates’ mark is more than or equal to 80%, then the percentile will be 80% percentile and eight is the percentile rank. The Percentage states that, if a candidate has scored 75% out of 1000 marks then the marks obtained by the candidate is 750 marks.
NEET MDS Merit List 2020
The NEET MDS Merit List will be prepared on the basis of the minimum cut-off percentile secured by the candidates. Thus, the candidates will be ranked in order of merit in this list. It will be available on the official website. In addition, it will be available in PDF format. Therefore, candidates would be able to download the merit list easily. The NEET 2020 MDS Merit List will be available in following types-
- NEET MDS Rank: This is the overall Merit List that includes all the candidates who have appeared for the entrance examination.
- All India 50% Quota Rank: This is the overall Merit Position of the candidate who has appeared in the NEET MDS Exam. These candidates will be eligible for All India Quota Counselling.
- All India 50% Category Rank: This is the overall merit position of the candidates belonging to the different reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) as opted by aspirants while filling the application form.
After the announcement of the results, candidates whose name is shortlisted on the merit list will be eligible for counselling. The Medical Counselling Committee will conduct the Counselling process. In addition, the Counselling of NEET MDS will be held online and the candidates have to register themselves before the deadline date.

NTA NEET MDS Reservation Policy
The officials will follow a reservation scheme, in which a number of seats are reserved for candidates of specific categories. Thus, the seat allotment process will be carried out in accordance with that. However, the reservation policy for NEET MDS Admission 2020 is as follows:

NTA NEET MDS Counselling
The NBE officials will transfer the candidate’s score and data to the State Govt. Counselling Authority. Further, the counselling round will be conducted by the DGHS. The qualified students can also visit the mcc.nic.in for more details regarding the round of counselling. Moreover, the authorities conduct this round to carry out the document verification process. The NBE will play no role in counselling. In addition, the centralized counselling will be done by respective states for the allotment of PG seats. Furthermore, the officials will allot seats on the basis of reservation policies, eligibility criteria, and benefits for in-service candidates.
