This article is about the dress code which should be followed by male and female applicants while appearing for the NEET 2019 Exam. From 2019 onwards, Instead of CBSE, National Testing Agency (NTA) will be responsible to conduct the NEET exam in computer-based mode. Any changes in the dress code by the NTA will be updated here. NTA 2019 Dress Code
The candidates are instructed to follow the following dress code while appearing for NEET(UG) 2019 Exam
- Light clothes with half sleeves not having big buttons, brooch/badge, flower etc. with Salwar/Trouser.
- Slippers, sandals with low heels and not the shoes.
In case, candidates are coming in the customary dress for appearing in the examination, they should report at least an hour before the last reporting time i.e. 9.30 am so that they could be frisked properly. It is desired from the candidates to follow instructions issued by the CBSE strictly, in case of dress code. This will help them in the fair conduct of the examination.
Essential to be Carried to NEET 2019 Exam Centre
The candidates are not allowed to carry the following items inside the examination centre under any circumstances. The candidates will be subjected to extensive and compulsory frisking before entering the examination centre with the help of highly sensitive metal detectors.
- Any stationery item like textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, Geometry/Pencil Box, Plastic Pouch, Calculator, Pen, Scale, Writing Pad, Pen Drives, Eraser, Calculator, Log Table, Electronic Pen/Scanner, etc.
- Any communication device like Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphone, Pager, Health Band, etc.
- Other items like Wallet, Goggles, Handbags, Belt, Cap, etc.
- All ornaments like Ring, Earrings, Nose-pin, Chain/Necklace, Pendants, Badge and Brooch, etc.
- Watch/Wrist Watch, Bracelet, Camera, etc.
- metallic item
- eatable item opened or packed, water bottle, etc.
- Communication Device such as Bluetooth etc.

NOTE: No arrangement will be available at the centres for keeping any articles/items belonging to the candidates. In case any candidate is found in possession of any of the barred items inside the centre, then serious actions will be taken against the candidate in accordance with the relevant provisions.
According to the dress code, candidates should wear light clothes with half sleeves so as to not arouse suspicion. The conducting body has made it clear that the candidates should refrain from wearing anything which will create obstruction while they are being inspected. NEET Dress Code 2019 for Boys Candidates
To follow the NEET 2019 dress code correctly, male candidates should make sure that they wear half sleeve shirts/t-shirts. The authorities have mentioned that the clothes should be light which means that there should not be any kind of zips, pockets, big buttons and any elaborate embroidery.
- You cannot wear Kurta Pajamas to the exam. Trousers will be the preferred dress code of NEET 2019.
- Lastly, Shoes are not allowed therefore male candidates can wear slippers and sandals.
