Telangana State Diploma in Elementary Education Common Entrance Test is commonly known as TS DEECET. It is a state level entrance examination held in the state Telangana. Students who qualify this exam get enrolled in 2 years Diploma in Education (D. Ed) course in Government District Institution of Educational Training (DIET) and Private Elementary Teacher Training (PETT) Institution in Telangana for the academic year 2020. Department of School Education on behalf of the Government of Telangana organize and conduct this test. Interested candidates must register and fill up the application form online. The official authority has not released any notification for TS DEECET 2020 till date. Although, tentative dates for the important events of the same are provided in the table below:

TS DEECET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

To apply for TS DEECET 2020 Exam, Candidates need to possess the eligibility criteria mentioned in the table below. The applicants need to satisfy the criteria in order to apply for the exam. To know the eligibility criteria required to apply for this exam, go through the table given below:

2.DomicileThe candidates should satisfy the Local / Non Local status requirements as laid down in the Telangana Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order, 1974 as amended from time to time.
3.AgeCandidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 1st September of the year of admission. There shall be no upper age limit for admission into D.El.Ed Programme.
4.Academic QualificationThe candidate should have passed or appeared for the Intermediate 10+2 Examination (Qualifying Exam) or its equivalent. However, the candidate should have passed the qualifying examination by the time of admission.
5.Qualifying MarksThe candidates should have secured 50% of marks in aggregate in the Qualifying 10+2 Examination for appearing at the TS DEECET 2020. The minimum percentage of marks in the case of Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Physically Challenged (PC) candidates shall be 45%.

TS DEECET 2020 Application Form

If the candidate satisfies the above-mentioned eligibility criteria, then he/she can apply for the TS DEECET 2020 Exam. The TS DEECET 2020 Application Form will be available in online mode only. Here are the steps to be followed to apply for the exam:

  1. Payment of application fee
  2. Enter the general details like personal details, academic qualification and communication address in the application form carefully.
  3. Upload the scanned image of the photograph and signature.
  4. Submit the application form and take the print out for future reference.

NOTE: In case of candidates opting for English Medium, the Part II (b) of the Question Paper shall be either Telugu or Urdu as opted by the candidate in the online application. The subject and syllabi of Part III of the test shall be of the standard of Class 10.

TS DEECET Admit Card 2020

The Admit card/Hall ticket is the most important document that an applicant must possess in order to appear in the examination. TS DEECET 2020 Admit Card will be available online at the official website for the registered candidates only. Candidates can download the admit card of TS DEECET 2020 which is expected to release in the last week of May 2020. In case, if any candidate cannot download the Hall ticket, then he/she should contact the official authority and provide them the details like Journal Number and the reference ID number.

TS DEECET 2020 Exam Centers

The TS DEECET 2020 shall be conducted online in the 10 districts of the state Telangana. Candidates may give the preferential order of the centres. However, allotment of centers shall be the discretion of the department and request for change of test centers or sessions is not allowed under any circumstances.

Rank Card of TS DEECET 2020

Rank card contains marks and overall rank obtained in the TS DEECET2020 exam. Based on the performance in the TS DEECET 2020 Exam, the official authority provides rank to the applicant. The rank card is published soon after the test is conducted. It is scheduled to be published in the month of July 2020.

TS DEECET 2020 Seat Allotment

Based on the rank secured in the TS DEECET 2020, shortlisted candidates shall be allotted seats into the Private Unaided Minority Elementary Teacher Education Institutions and Private Un-aided Non -Minority Elementary Teacher Education institutions. The candidate must report to the allotted institution for document verification. They also have to pay the admission fee to confirm their seat.

Reservation of Seats

Admission to 85% of the seats shall be reserved for the local candidates and the remaining 15% of the seats shall be unreserved as specified in the Telangana Educational Institutions (Regulations and Admissions) Order, 1974 as amended from time to time.
